So I am about 5 weeks out from the sleeve. I have not had any complications and have actually felt great since the surgery. The only thing I have noticed is in about the last week I seem to have more nauseous feeling and lack of appetite. More so than lack of appetite is issues with drinking. For some reason whenever I drink Water it makes me feel nauseous so I’ve tried Crystal light and that seems to sweet and makes me nauseous food does not seem to bother me much just the drinks. Has anyone else have this problem? And what do you do to help it

Thank you both it is much better today after about 16 hours of heating pad. That was worse than the incision pain by far

Hello I had surgery on the 16th and I’m just curious if anyone else has ever had this. I have carpal tunnel but it hasn’t been bothering me much lately. However the last 24 hours my hands have been throbbing worse than the surgery pain. Any ideas? I think it’s from all the IV fluids they gave in the hospiTal but I’m not forsure.. compression socks on my hands and heating pad helps but still pretty painful. Any other ideas?

Well I got my official date of april 16th.... was tentatively scheduled for 23rd but my surgeon is now on vacation so I was moved up a week. Start my pre op diet in a week! It’s getting real now ...woo hoo!!!

I hope so too I’m just anxious is all. Read somewhere where someone has a June date scheduled and I’m like dang I can’t even get my April 23rd confirmed 😂😂

I feel so frustrated that everyone has their set dates lol I only have a tentative date due to needing a range for requesting time off work. Seems like it’s only my office that doesn’t schedule early on. Not really complaining just anxious and and want a set date! But so happy that there are a lot of us in April (tentatively the 23rd for me but won’t know until my last appointment on April 3)

Thank you! Yeah I just know I won’t be able to afford plastics but I don’t want my already imperfected breasts to be golf balls in a tall sock 🤪 I will be taking that chance still but hoping to hear that’s not always the case. So talk about reductions after to look more proportional but I always seem to lose there right along.

Wondering if anyone is willing to show before and after without plastics just curious what to expect with the skin without wanting to do plastics. Surgery in about a month my current weight 250 5’6” just wondering what to expect.

Hello all this may sound like a silly question I am about a month out from gastric sleeve and all of a sudden I seem to have a fear of losing all my breast and regretting it. Sounds silly but I really just want to lose the weight at surgery weighing about 245 I want to be healthy but don’t want to have to do plastics but also don’t want to have no boobs at all. How was that for you all? Looking for thoughts

Thank you that is great to hear! I am so excited for the life change

I’m just curious what to expect for loose skin if anyone’s not opposed to showing before and after pics. I also know everyone carries weight differently so that makes a difference as well. Im one that’s evenly distributed head to toe 😳😳

Hello any april sleepers on here? I am tentatively scheduled for April and am really a ball of emotions mostly very very excited but some nervousness. I feel mentally ready I have had to do a 6 month weight loss thru my insurance company and in these first few month am down about 13 pounds. Weight loss has always been slow for me because obviously I like food and I have a good appetite! Everyone says that it will be great and the appetite diminishes post surgery any input there? Also I feel like the 6 months monitored weight loss is slow because we still have that appetite so it’s as hard to be strict?? I guess my question for post sleevers are is this normal? I feel ready and all but I question how hard it will be post surgery cuz weight loss is so hard before to stay on track. Any feedback I can get would be awesome! TIA also anyone that’s an April sleever? I would love to have go thru this with people around the same time for feedback and motivation.

Thank you both. I have to agree I would rather feel this way and eliminate the weight. But looking for tricks to maybe improve the situation.
