  1. They have a patch they put on me for nausea and I received other iv meds as well. I too get very sick after surgeries. I was fine. As far as not losing weight, it’s a commitment and I hear from successful sleevers that as long as you stick with the program it works. Plenty of success stories on these boards.

Sorry for all the posts/questions, but this is all so new to me and I don’t really have anyone to ask questions of.

Today I’m 6 days post-op and I feel that between trying to get my Protein and Water, I am constantly putting something in my mouth and I’m feeling so fulll all the time. I still haven’t gotten all that I”m supposed to each day yet even doing that. I am just at a loss—is this normal in the beginning? What have others experienced?

How’s it going? I’m five weeks post op and still feel the same way you did in this post. Constantly putting something in my stomach. Too much.

I'm reading people's confessions about eating two chicken nuggets, some fried rice from Panda Express, or maybe a little candy, and I'm thinking to myself that I'm the cheater of cheaters because all of this sounds so mild compared to my cheats. This is embarrassing, but here it goes: I polished off an entire Big Mac yesterday. Yep. Don't ask me how my stomach fit it all in because usually I can't eat that much, but I was hungry. Didn't drink with it or have anything else with it, but polished that sucker off all by myself. That's a first since my surgery a year ago. A part of me feels I should be terrified I was able to do that. I'm not doing it again because that's what got me where I was before my surgery. Yes, I feel ashamed. :(

Forgive yourself and move on. Start fresh today.

Tomorrow I am allowed to eat regular beef, pork, lamb(not ground). Have been eating regular chicken, seafood, and fish since last week. Also can begin experimenting with different varieties of veggies, breads, cereals and grains. Will probably stick with a high Protein, low carb diet though

That’s awesome! Keep up the good work! I haven’t experimented with too many veges and breads yet but will start this week. Again, low carb high Protein.

Maybe you could put a flower pot in front of it. . .Only kind of kidding.
I think a lot of the other peeps on here have the right idea though, so long as you know there will be fluctuations and don't beat your self up about it, it can be okay? I have a lot of work to do around that my self.

I just can’t be obsessive about it and I can be so I’m trying to be good and only weigh in once a week.

Thank heavens we don't have those at our house now that the kids are grown! We used to buy the huge cardboard carton of those at Sam's. Portion Control? We don't need no stinkin' portion control!

They were calling my name. I swear. No. No Portion Control. A handful did just fine. They were yummy.
