Start slow and that way you know what your new tummy will like. I have a better time with crock pot turkey breast than oven roasted because it's juicier. Steamed veggies go down pretty good. Make sure you take small bites and chew chew chew. That is something I forget constantly and I take my huge bites and want to swallow whole as if I'm afraid it will be taken. I've realized that the longer I take to eat my meal, the better it goes down and I get full with less food.

I'm 6 weeks post-op, on Monday I will be 7 weeks post-op. My surgeon said I can start solids, I need ideas. I get scared to start them.

I'm doing better today. I felt the same way yesterday, fluids were making me gag . One thing is I get really nauseous but don't throw up. I just had some chamomile tea and luckily I was able to tolerate it today. I hope this day continues to go smoothly.

I reached out to my surgeon. I will only be on liquid diet pre-op for 24 hrs. My surgery in 9/24 I have been looking forward to getting this surgery for a long time, now that it's soo close I am so emotional, I go from being excited, to getting nervous, scared. I cried myself to sleep the other night. Has anyone become so emotional close to their surgery day?

How long before surgery do you start liquid diet?
My surgery date is 9/24 but I have my pre-op appointment on 9/19. I have yet to start my liquid diet, they haven't told me to start it.

So I started at 304lbs ( 21' 10 ) for the uk'ers and blimey did I feel every pound!
I have lost steadily and I am now 245lbs (17' 7!) so very chuffed, and cannot believe how much my life has changed.
Here are a couple of before and afters, one at my heaviest and the other, two days ago for clarity.
I can't really see a massive difference myself but others have told me they can definitely see it, can you?
