Thank you for your reply. I am going to try the sugar free Jello and heavy whipping cream. I am allowed sugar free jello and popsicles, which have also been my go to when I can’t get liquids down.

I am 3 weeks post op from the Sleeve procedure. In the evenings, about two hours after dinner, I am craving sweets!! Help!! What do I do? I don’t want to eat anything because I’m only allowed 3 meals a day. Any suggestions would be helpful!!

I found that the surgery was the easiest of everything!! Drinking after the surgery is my hardest part.. getting 64 ounces in a day is a struggle. I eat popsicles like they are going out of style so I can get my liquids in for each day!! Rest and take it easy!! Life is grand two weeks out!!

I am on day 6 post op.. I have developed a rash on my stomach. Benadryl has been my friend. Getting enough fluids is a struggle because I’m not thirsty but forcing myself to sip often. My struggle has been I feel good and I want to try to eat the next foods on my list but haven’t due to being nervous and messing something up. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

In my bag I had powder (didn't use) Blistex (used) BioTene (used) toothbrush and paste (used) phone charger (used). Didn't need anything else. I slept 90% of the time and the rest was given to me. I had no worries or nerves. I just accepted the outcome would be whatever it was and think I had a better time because of it.
Good Luck to All of You!!!!
Rest is the most important. Everything else will fall into place!!

I am amazed at what all the various doctors recommended. It makes me wonder, what really is the best way? For my two week pre op diet, I was allowed cottage cheese, yogurt, cheese sticks, and applesauce.. Right now they want everything thinned with milk or a Protein Shake. That’s fine but I would like to chew something too. We have made creamy Soups too without chunks. I’m looking forward to July 24 so I can have canned chicken and canned tuna!!

How are you doing 5 days out with eating? Any Constipation?I’m only allowed to eat yogurt and pudding.. no bowel movements yet, just gas. I haven’t had real food since the 9th of July. I stopped taking my pain meds two days ago. I would love to eat something else but not allowed yet!!

Did you try Premier Protein drinks? Not the clear bottles but the little cartons? They are super easy to drink!!

Are you allowed any food at all? Greek yogurt and cheese sticks were my best friends for the two weeks. 3 Protein Shakes, chicken broth and popsicles helped too.

Thank you for all the info. I am 2 days post op and it hurts to move. My stomach feels like it’s spazzing when I first get up. Today is my first day home so I am going to walk, drink, and rest!!

Wow!! It would be so much easier if I was allowed a meal in the evening.. evenings are harder than daytime. I’m a teacher so I am home all summer but I wish I would have done it during the school year as I would be too busy to think about food.

The liquid diet can be challenging. I am finishing up my first week and I am finally not dying of hunger pains. I am also allowed cottage cheese, cheese sticks, and yogurt each day too. So, my question for you is, have you cheated on your pre op diet? I have not but believe me, I would love a cheeseburger right about now!!

Hello ! My surgery is July 10th!! I’m working on my liquid diet and so far it’s been okay. I haven’t lost any weight for being on day 5 but I am hoping that changes as time goes on! Good luck to all

I’m not allowed steak or any beef products until the 6th month mark.. grr it’s rough but I too have felt like I stalled as soon as I started real food.. I have stuck with chicken, tuna, and eggs. I may have a bite of something here and there but I have not cheated like I could have.. I have even been walking over 10000 steps a day for the month of August. I had the sleeve procedure on July 10. Help!!
