  1. Linda ~ Restriction is a good thing. I understand what your saying. I have been on cloud 9 since my fill and now it looks like I may have to eat like someone with a band. Honestly, I've been wide open, but doing very well. I have NO idea about how many calories I get in a day. I barely have time to pee and that is usually with a kid or dog in the room needing something. I have a feeling that is going to become very important to me. I need to start thinking of a way to become more organized so I can count calories.

DeAnn ~ How terrible!! Make sure you tell them you will let everyone know how your treated AFTER surgery. Have you tried doing a search on Obesity Help to see if anyone on there has any info? I find the site a little difficult to navigate or I would do it for you. I hope your able to get your fill soon. Maybe you can call information to see if he has a new phone number yet. :) Reaching here. Good luck!!

  2. yeah 3 loves...so far the only hard evidence was posted, and the poster was chastized for posting it. i guess that is why she is done with this. but everyone else is ready for some hard evidence from the other side. just haven't seen it yet.

    :)

  3. If sneezing and burping can cause the band to slip, as earlier stated, then that one loud belch must have done in your band for good :D Uh Oh.

Best post all night!! Wait, that's OT. Still good. I think we are all waiting for answers and that is why the thread is drifting. Don't think those will ever come though. :phanvan

  4. Thanks Stitchy. :D I just got my first fill on Friday. It's the liquids that has made the difference and filling up fast. I've been afraid to eat fish or eggs b/c of the stories I've read. Today I had pintos 'n cheese for lunch and then chili (mostly broth) for supper. :hungry:

So do either one of you think you could be too tight? I am moving very slowly and cautiously toward the solids. PB is one of my worst fears. I'm sure it will happen some day. :guess

    Great job Drews!!!

Ousooner, you too are an inspiration. I need to show your info to my DH. He intends on getting the band.

Marci ~ Hope you feel much better FAST!! I've never been down that road and hope I never do. I hear the pain in your post. Take care and :wow2: on your weight loss!! :D Sounds like you may become the poster child for WLS at your doc's office.

  5. noooooo. if some people said what they really thought, half this place would get banned overnight.

    Boy, that is true.

Who needs Season Premiers when we have LBT? I think we need a couple more talking heads and we could do our own reality TV.

  6. Ewww...Dairy Queen (perhaps the name should be a tip off). The day some dude at an ice cream place trys to take a dump on me....I am moving away...far far away....lol. I am never ordering chocolate ice cream from Dairy Queen again!!!!

    You are too much!! :pound:

  7. I love you Leatha!! Have I ever told you that I want to be Leatha when I grow up? You have such a wonderful way of stating the truth. :D

I too saw the whole thing play out.:deadhorse: This is not about today or yesterday, or even last week. It's not even really about one single person, although our dear Delarla :hippie: takes the brunt of it because she's got guts enough to stand up for herself. lol. :fencing:

I've never seen the movie 'Mean Girls', but from what I've heard, we have our own little group here who play up to people, then mock them behind their backs and manipulate and 'try' to control threads to suit their fancy, then put on the smiley face and say 'who me?' as if nothing ever happened. Talking about losing faith in people or being in a toxic environment. Wow..

Today, instead of trying to read all the posts and conversing with new folks with encouragement and experience, I'm more often checking the threads to see when I've been disputed or reprimanded or debated or invalidated due to this group hovering about who is obviously:rolleyes: so much smarter intellectually, seem to have more experience with the band :first: than anyone here (although I've seen my own posts plagerized more than a few times), but what it really boils down to is they've set up camp here :ranger: for lack of anything better to do with their time - or so it would seem. Otherwise, how on earth could ANYONE post on every single thread with such detailed manuscripts of how intellectually and morally superior and 'all-knowing' about the band they are?:D

So, yea, to know Delarla is to love Delarla. She's one high-spirited, magnetic, FUN woman and as much as I like most everyone here, I can tell you, if I were in a room of 'mean girls', no matter how much 'better' they were intellectually, morally, or even if they were the top experts in the field where the band is concerned. I'd rather hang out with someone like Delarla, 1.because at least I could trust her to tell the truth, no matter how bad it hurt and 2. her life is not about proving how she can manipulate a situation or others into liking her, it's about living in the NOW with a fervor most of us only dream of. :first:

That being said. I would like to see the board get back to the task at hand. Those of us who were here and saw it happen, know what happened and that it continues to happen. We can see through all the 'nicey-nicey' as well. So why can't we just stay off of each other's posts? It's simple. I avoid those posts that I can see are already being dominated by those who seem to like that sort of thing. It seems that should be an easy enough thing for them to do as well.. :D

Like someone else said.. if you're slowing down to look at the wreck, you're helping to cause the backup in traffic. Move on or take a Detour to avoid it. Please...
