  1. Where exactly is this mysterious internal stitch? I have a sore spot beneath my lower left ribs, but I thought that perhaps I'd pulled a muscle twisting to get out of bed.

    Appetite back with a vengance!

Hello Bajansleeve. I'd like to echo what Synergy has just said: you've lost 36lbs in 6 weeks...6lbs a week can't be bad! I'm a sleeve newbie and I'm trying to be relaxed about it. I think it'll be like learning to ride a bike - I may scrape my knees, but I'll get used to it eventually and find a way to make it work. As for advice about diet...do any two surgeons/doctors/nutritionists actually agree about the 'right' one? Reviewing the literature makes me doubtful about that. Once I start to eat 'proper food' I shall experiment a bit, and if I find an approach that works, that'll be the 'right' one. Have a bit of faith in yourself chuck.
  3. My surgeon told me that I had to lose weight to shrink my liver and he didn't mind how I did it - using a branded diet plan or real food. Just so long as he could hoist my liver out of the way, he didn't care. So I chose real food and lost 28lbs in a month. I had no problems with digestion. However, the liquid post op diet has left me constipated. Weird, innit?
  4. Like the OP, I used to drink regularly - but not to excess. I love a drop of red, me. However, as I think that's one of the reasons I ended up fat, I'm in no hurry to start it again.
  5. NSAIDs are non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs... I think.... or maybe numbingly stupid and irritating dimwits...or possibly nudist surgeons and irate doctors...Who can really say? 😉
  6. Hello - this is my first post (sorry it's a bit graphic). I had successful surgery - without complications - a week ago. I've just noticed that one of my wounds is weeping slightly. The fluid coming out of it has a little blood in it, but no pus and I don't have a temperature. The wound has surgical glue on it and isn't covered by a dressing, so I don't like to put anything on it, in case it causes the glue to detach prematurely. I have an appointment with my general practitioner on Monday any way for other reasons - do you think it would be appropriate to wait until then to get it examined?
  7. I was given soluble cocodamol which did the trick very nicely. I only needed to take them for four days though, so if you do decide to get a soluble alternative, you might feel better anyway by the time you get it.
  8. I was told not to take Ibuprofen, because it was an NSAID and these drugs can irritate the stomach. However, I'm in the UK and I don't know if advice differs in the US.
