No word yet. I keep asking my Dr. every month about when we will have our support group. They are still working on it.

Hi everyone. I am from Huntsville. I love my Dr. His name is Dr. Groves. His partner is Dr. Britt. They are in Albertville but come to Madison 1 time a month. Dr.Groves has the L.B. Dr. Britt done his. I feel very comfotable with him having it. I can ask any questions I want to and know he won't think it odd because he has been there. Good luck with your choise of Dr.s. I am a slow loser. I figured out what I was doing wrong and now I am losing better than before. I wasn't eating enough calories. I had to keep a food diary to find that out. I thought I was eating to much, but actually not enough. I have had 2 fills with a little restriction. I get another fill the 22. So I am working it. Just make sure you are eating enough calories. Good cals for me is between 1200-1400. At least 1 day a week I eat on the high side of my cals. That helps change things up some and burn more cals. DON'T give up hope! You have lost, you will lose. It isn't your fault! I felt that way at first. My old self was full of self lothing. It took a lot of saying "I love myself. I am worth something. I will do this" That helped me overcome those feelings. Good luck and hang tough!

Don't worry. Your mind will catch up with your body and you will stop wanting a cig. I smoked for almost 35 yrs. I used chantex to stop. I didn't think it was working. 1 1/2 months later I woke up 1 morning and didn't want anymore.That was 1 year ago this month. I'm not saying you won't have your cravings because you will at times. it is kinda like head hunger, your body say's NO, NO, NO, but your head is saying yes, yes, yes! Resisit it. Getting the band was more important to me than smoking. I don't even begin to miss it. Good luck on both

growing up my best freind was never spanked. When we was 13/14 she done something ( I was there) when they were talking to her she screamed "why don't you whoop me like Paula's parents whoop her?" Here I was jelous because she never got spanked and she felt like she wasn't loved because of it. My children got spankings. My oldest 2 also tried telling me that if I spanked them they would call D.H.R. My reply was here is the number, call, bye the time they would get out here they will have a reason to hall me away. of course they knew that they wasn't being abused and apologized for the threat. Sick people will abuse and harm children no matter what law is in effect. Innocent parents will be condemed for a plain spanking. Children already have a lot of control over their parents, they don't need more because of the government. I will remind everone that this is my PERSONAL OPINION.

I had another NSV moment today. I was wearing a blouse that I hadn't worn in about 3 weeks. I didn't look at it before going out. When I went to my daughter's home she asked when I was going to get rid of that blouse because it was looking bad because it is so big! Yeah! Good job everyone else.

I have to NSV today! First I noticed that my pants I had on today is ready to be turned out to pasture! YEAH!! I grabbed 2 inches on each side of them. The second is the sterring wheel in the car no longer rubs my belly. So maybe the car will finally realize that I am not a genie. LOL

Hollie, I realize you have lost a lot of weight already, but sometimes little pieces of well chewed food gets stuck. I have had it happen. It doesn't always mean the food isn't chewed correctly. Some food just don't agree with people after the surgury.

I am so happy that you had such a wonderful birthday! Sounds like you had a blast.

Ask to have your fills done under floro (floroscopy (sp)) That way they can find the port.

Jessie, your pics are so wonderful! You look so great! Try to remember portion controle while waiting for your sweet spot. Maybe keep pics of the new you and the old you hanging all around. We will help anyway we can. I pray this will work for you.

Thank you from the U.S.A. My son-in-law helped rebuild in Mississippi after Katrina. I went down there to visit 6 months after the fact and was just overwhelmed with the destuction I seen. He was there 2 months after Katrina hit. He told me what I was seeing was a vast improvement from when he first got there. So my prayers are with the Gulf coast also and where Gustav has already hit.

FYI McCain was looking at Palin a year ago for his ticket if he became the republican canidate. So he just didn't pick her overnight. In the past I have voted both Dem & Rep. I go by the best canidate in my personal opinion. I have done my research and was having a difficult time this year on who I liked. I am not impressed with Obama or McCain. I don't like Binden at all. What I have so far found on Palin I like. If it would have been between Hillary and McCain I would have went with Hillary. If Obama would have chosen Hillary then I would really have a hard time now. I like Hillary, but like Palin also. This is deffinatly a race.

liquids and mushies for a few days then try to eat again. It started Monday. I had a fill. Was on liquids for 48 hrs. Wed. afternoon I ate fine. I felt restriction. But had been belching ever since my fill. Thursday got worse. Belching so bad not even funny. I even slimmed. Friday slimmed at lunch, belched like crazy all day even with Water. Sat. and Sun. I have only been able to keep 1 meal down each day, and that was me fighting not to pb or slime. So after reading in this thread I have decided to let my stomach rest. Then try full foods. If I am not better by Fri. I will call the Dr. and get in the following week.

The fat lady is singing again! I was able to eat today and feel great now. I do have some restriction, but I am not at my sweet spot yet. Thats o.k. I figure my port was more swollen than the last fill and after 48 hrs. I should have went on mushies for a day or two after the liquids. I will know for next time.
