gone 4 ever

I was banded May 13. I am also a slow loser. I have lost 39 lbs. I keep gaining and loosing the same 3 lbs over the last 3 weeks. I just want to hit the 40lb mark. I had a fill Monday and think I am at my sweet spot. I have lost the 3lbs, now hopefully by Sunday I will be at the 40 lb. mark. I know a lot has to do with my excersise regement. I do it in spurts. I am not consistant. I have to learn to be a regular excersiser machine!Well good luck everyone. We will get there!

O.K. I haven't had a period in almost 5 years. Thought nenopause. Even the my Dr. thought same thing....Well last month I bled a little on 1 pad. Today I have had mild cramps and have bled freely all day. Any one else have this problem?

I seen the Dr. on Monday. He said that fat stores estrogen. When you gain it can give you a false menopause. But my reg. Dr. ran blood work on me yrs. ago. I am in menopause. So the thought I have is that I am releaseing what has been stored. I will have to visit my reg. Dr. if this continues. Thanks for answering my post.

Hello everyone. My name is also Paula. I live in Huntsville. Dr. Groves of Albertville done my LB. I was banded in May and have lost 39 lbs. (now if you count the same 5 lbs I kept losing and gaining for about 4 weeks I have lost a lot more:blushing:). I wouldn't trade this for anything. I love my band. Manatee, sorry to hear you might have to have more PS. I pray you don't. I read somewhere that after you heal if you gently massage your scares and pull gently on them several times a day that scare tissue under will not form or it breaks apart.

I thought gravy was a food group to....maybe it is in with the food group chicken fried everything, since you have to have the gravy with it.

Welcome and congrats Shine. First of all you have done fantastic. This is weight lost, not gained. Your body has to adjust to the surgery and the new way your eating. If you are not eating enough then you won't lose. The band is a tool. Not everyone loses at the same rate of speed. Actually the Dr.s recomend that you lose 1-3 lbs a week. Remember you didn't gain weight over night and you won't lose it that way either. Good luck and keep us posted.

Welcome gprice. This is a good site to be at. I also was researching and found this site. Hung around for a couple of weeks and then said hi and haven't left yet. I was banded in May. I am a slow loser. Remember if you get the LB that everyone loses at a different rate. So don't get paniky. Just ask away and good luck on your research. If you get the band let us know.

the new look is pretty, but I am having trouble navigating it. I know once I get used to it, it will be o.k. anyone else having problems or is it just me not being awake and having a nightmare? I am computer illerterate as it is. anything new just throws me for a loop,:lol:

I was 49 when I was banded. I would do it again in a heart beat. If it would have been around 29 yrs. ago I would of had it done then. I LOVE my band.

O.K. the day after Halloween......This is warfare..... Put on your contamination suit, pick up the offending candy between thumb and forefinger and throw in the trash, then incinerate so there is no temptation to get said offending unopened candy out of trash. Are you done? Did you follow orders? Good. Have a great day!

we really do fry everything.....chicken fried bacon, fried Twinkies, before long we will figure out how to chicken fry potato chips!:smile2:

Mr. Berg is one of a faction of Clinton supporters who haven't heeded the party's call for unity, filing the suit just days before the opening of the Democratic National Convention, which will nominate Mr. Obama as the party's presidential candidate. The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia last week, also names the Democratic National Committee and the Federal Election Commission and says Mr. Obama..s mother went to Kenya late in her pregnancy and ended up giving birth there. It also claims that later in life, Mr. Obama declared himself a citizen of Indonesia.

TJ. I am so sorry about what you are going thru. I understand how bad that hurt. Years ago I had emergency surgery. I was in the hospital for 2weeks. Went home and 2 days later went back to my Dr. I had a severe infection. He ripped me open right in his office. No pain meds, nothing. I came up off that table almost. He then put me back in the hospital for 3 more weeks. Even after I came home I had a gapping hole that I had to have cleaned and stuffed 3 times a day. It took almost another 3 weeks for that to heal. My stomach is nothing pretty to look at.(minus the fat and strech marks and a c-section scare) I pray that you heal quickly and don't have to have surgery. Let us know what is going on please.

I can't believe I ate so much! Sorry if my smiley is gross, but thats how I feel right now. I made a pot of chili for dinner. Then I proceded to eat way to much....It was sooo good, that I forgot what I have inside of me.. No pb or slimming, just want some plop-plop-fizz-fizz oh what a relief it is! Shame on me. :thumbup:
