Yeehaw! I live approximately 8 miles from work and have a fabulous bike trail I can take. The first day was challenging as I tried to Bike home too which was tough, I made it 3/4 of the way home and my hubby came to rescue me.
However, I packed my backpack again this morning and hit the rode before I could talk myself out of it. I believe I burned somewhere between 460-600 calories this morning.

You should be able to create a profile including your weight, height age etc.. to get an accurate burn rate.
Good luck.

I'm in for July's exercise challenge.
I will walk 2 miles average everyday in the month of July. I have already walked 16 miles as of July 7 and biked 20 miles.
Good luck everyone!

This is a great resource for bike trails all over the world. Also has a great training module to keep track of how far you've gone.
See you on the trails!

Out of curiosity, why revive a post that's well over a year old? Obviously it was quite a heated thread at the time, but I'm really not sure it does anyone good to bring it up again.Ninja-
Chalk it up to inexperience...I thought it was a current posting and now realize quite old. Regardless, felt compelled to share my disgust.

Please stay in Indiana.... Nebraska appears to be a more loving, understanding and certainly respectful state.

C-sections were much worse...Had babies to take care of to boot! A lot of gas but it subsides after a few days get up an walk as much as you can.
I've had 5 abdominal surgeries. This one was a cake walk by comparision. I checked into the surgery center at 6p and checked out by 2pm
Good luck!

My hubby took a double take and commented that my pants were getting looser. Also several have mentioned my face is looking thinner. I will get my first fill on June 23 and can't wait tio have restriction. I felt my first PB last night. My Dr said I could start back on solid food and had a hamburger, 1/2 ear corn, Beans. Way too much for my tummy. My brain just hasn't kicked in.
I learned my lesson.

Enigma-
I make Iced Latte for Breakfast using 2 cups ff milk (= 18gr protein), ice, sugarfree syrups (get at Starbucks) and coffee.
Gets me moving. Someone in a one of these forums said to make sure you watch it as if you don't get enough you could start losing hair! That was enough to make me do it!

Hey Fed Cop- I was banded on that same day! Do you have a MAgic Bullet hand held blender? They work great. Some of my favorite things have been tio roast vegtables in the oven 400 degrees for 40 minutes; like carrots, potatoes, onions and garlic then put in a blender with chicken broth and season. DELICIOUS!
I have quite few Soup recipes that are awesome and high in Protein.
Good luck to you.

Hello glad you're feeling well.
I'm on Day 9 and feeling great too. I have lost a total of 10 pounds for sure and had a "peeka boo" weigh this morning that indicated it could be down 13!
Good luck to you!

Hi guys- I haven't lost hair yet but my Dr. suggested I take in 80-90 grams daily and perhaps he knew more than he spoke? Anyway I have taken everything that he said very seriously try to stay at 1200 calories and 80 grams of Protein.
Here's a tip I learned in another forum. Google "protidiet" shakes. There are currently three flavors; choc/vanilla/strawberry. I purchased 60 of them to start and got the price down to $1.54. Free Shipping, no tax and coupon code "SAVE10" They arrived in 3 days and each is in it's own 8oz bottle with the dry Protein mix dry. I can pop them into my purse and add Water whereever it's convenient. Most Protein drinks have 190 calories so you can get the protein in without the extra calories.
Also, you might want to buy sugar free syrups. Starbucks has them for $6.99 (big bottle) in mocha, carmel, hazelnut, raspberry Really taste good in the shakes!
Good luck to everyone-

Hey what a way to bring in Memorial weekend.
In memory of my Mother and Father who's lives were cut short due to health issues. I hope this surgery will give me the gift of health with energy and passion for life once again.
My life changed on this date...I'll remember it forever.

Great article. I so fall into many of those descriptives. Good week, bad week really hit home.
I have been exercising and enjoying the energy harvested from Walking and Riding my bike but the scale is moving up not down. It's so easy to think exercise is Bad when I know how good it is long term.
Thanks for upper today!
