Oh my goodness, I just realized that my surgery is only 5 days away!! I think that my husband is more worried about it than I am.....Its the first surgery I have ever had, so he is concerned. I told him that all my pre-op testing is good and normal. So, far my surgery is scheduled for 11am. I am a little nervous, but excited too.

Hello July buddies!
My sleeve date is July 2nd! I have been doing a modified liquid diet since my program doesn’t require it. I have 4 1/2 days until my surgery and everyday I get more and more nervous! But I can’t wait!!

One week until surgery and one week of pre op down. I'm getting a bit of the 'what the hell am I doings' but as my dear old dad said last night "this will be great for you, you have tried everything going over the years and this will be the tool you need".

Amazing product and the cleanest you can find. I used it during pre-op 2 week period. I mix it with unsweetened Cashew Milk. I could live on this stuff for the rest of my life. This is the solution for those who are really into keeping it 100% natural and clean.

Really well so far. Just Soups, Meal Replacement shakes and some soy yoghurt. No issues so far but I am looking forward to moving past the liquid phase

Hey I am! I’m one week post op and have been vegan for a couple of years. I’m definitely interested in hearing other people’s experiences.

Is it common for most doctors to put you in a preop liquid diet? I’m currently on my preop and I can have food. Granted it’s not much but it’s still real food.

Just got my date; July 30th. Happy but scared of surgery! The more I read about "complications" such as blood clots, I get a little afraid.

ShrinkingWildflower have you checked out Vega? Also I like personally Svelte, you get a lower Protein count but it is soy-based and really tastes good.

Well day 1 of pre op diet was easy! I thought I had to have liquid only but the dietitian told me I'm fine to have tofu and low starch veggies instead yay! I can't drink the vlcd shakes as they are dairy based and I'm vegan.

Had my pre op appointments yesterday and all is good to go ahead. Bit shocked to hear I have to pay another $500 to the anaesthetist!

How is everyone else doing?

Day 2 of the pre op diet. Going ok. Had a couple times I felt hunger pains, but drank some Water and seem to settle it. Luckily, I'm allow 1 serving of fruit, veggie and starch a day. Started getting a Headache too. Don't know why. Saw the internalist in change of my team in the hospital and had an EKG. 14 days to go!!!Excited and nervous at the same time.

Good luck! I am counting down days until I start mine next Wednesday. Every meal I think that this will be the last time I have “X”. LOL

Yes, I think I will miss potatoes the most....I even dreamed about mashed potatoes last night! LOL

Last day of eating what I want. Pre op diet starts tomorrow. So long potatoes!

This worries me a lot! Psychiatric meds shouldn't be stopped suddenly.

I take so many meds for my bipolar that I'd be a complete wreck if they were stopped suddenly.

I'll be having surgery in July, not sure of date yet. A little terrified!!! I'm 53 yrs old (live in CA) and think recovery may take longer because I'm over 50 yrs old? I hope I'm wrong. I'm hoping for early July, as the anticipation is rough! Can't wait for it to be here....
