WOW! You and @Hal711 are killing it! Weight is flying off. I've read that after a stall another big loss is coming. :)

I had a stall for about 2 weeks and then got a stomach bug - bluhh. But then ive lost 11 lbs since the bug left. My goal was to lose 107 lbs. I am now at 71 to go. Whoo! Lol

You go girl! That is a ton of weight lost already. WAHOO! Love that folks are noticing. I wore some smaller clothes today and my coworker was like "Oh, did you go shopping?" I was like "no, just some older clothes". LOL - - no one has noticed the loss yet, but give me 15 more pounds and I'll have way more old clothes options.

Haha i did the same thing. Im wearing clothes i havent worn in a long time. I wore a dress yesterday, and i cant say ive ever worn a dress to work.

Wahoo! Finally, broke my 3 week stall after 8 days of no weight loss! I'm down 25 lbs. now (including pre-op diet). YAY! How's everyone feeling?

Fantastic! i am feeling great and doing great. Im down 38lbs so far including preop diet and people are starting to notice. It makes me feel good to get compliments :)

  4. Hi all from down under. Doing well here. Left side is still niggling at me, but has eased considerably. Still not getting all my fluids in. Handling the food. Moving onto soft foods today. Losing weight, at least .5kg a day, but told that it should only be 1kg a week. So hope I am not losing muscle as well. It is meant to be a slow progress. Stalled for 3 days on 100kg, when I so wanted to get below. Now below at 97.6kgs. My only problem is I haven’t done number two for a few days, so now adding benefibre to Cereal and taking softener. Not sure if this is why I have a little pain in back. Haven’t needed any diabetic meds since op. Glad to hear others are progressing reasonably well.
For sure take those softeners!! It won't do you any favors to be constipated. I had a little set back over the weekend with a stomach bug or something. I had to get some IV fluids to catch up, but otherwise all is well.

  5. Nice to hear everyone's updates on here. Sounds like we're all losing, trying to keep hydrated and dealing with the left side pain. Every day gets better! I'm wearing a dress today to work. It's been like 9 or 10 months since I've worn a dress. I feel great (aside from a kidney stone that I'm trying to pass).
Good for you!! That is so exciting!

  6. I actually made my Fluid goal today! And had 2 Protein Shakes, and 2 small meals. (I mean real small). I am feeling pretty accomplished today. Last night i guess i ate too fast and i had terrible chest pain! I walked and burped and wiggled until i wanted to cry! Thank god it didnt last too long. Today I have been canning green Beans from our garden, 52 quarts! Hope everyone is doing well!!

  7. @Trixie82! I’m so jelly of your numbing shots. That sounds incredible! What a relief you had. I’ll count day #5 as lunch time approaches tomorrow and see if I’m feeling much better after another night and morning of rest.

?: do you guys feel that sensation after a too big of a sip and feel it going down to your pouch? How long after 1 sip of Water do you wait until you take your next sip? Are you drinking all day?
Yes to the weird sensation. And yes. ALL. DAY. LONG. All i can say is Crystal Light flavors cuz water gets old lol.

  8. Thank you so much@Trixie82 .... did you count surgery day as #1? If so I’ll be at day #5 tomorrow. I just want to be able to move without so much discomfort. I know today was better than yesterday so I’m hopeful tomorrow will be even better. It’s crazy how almost all of us on here have had surgery now. Sometimes
when I wake up, I have to pinch myself and remember I’m already on the other side. I keep forgetting.
I know! I love this group. I feel like we are all linked by surgery somehow. I plan to keep up with all of you best i can. :)

  9. I'm still on purees but can start soft food next Wed. So far I'm down 20lbs. I work at a school so I'm off for the summer. The only real problem I've had has been insomnia. Oh and horrible breath for a few days lol. I usually get in one Premier Protein. Right now I'm having some pureed chicken salad and it's really good. Head hunger hasn't been too bad. Went to the movies today and for about 2 minutes wanted popcorn because I LOVE popcorn. I had a sugar free mint and was fine.

My head hunger hasnt been too bad either. I really dont feel hunger. I just feel full all of the time, and im so afraid of overdoing it so i underdo it most of the time. I, too, love popcorn! It would be hard to smell that deliciousness and not partake. Lol

  10. I'm honestly shocked at how good I feel. I try to have a protien shake everyday and sometimes they don't sit good but it's not awful. It's worst in the morning until I drink something, then it gets better. Yours?

I honeslty have had very little nausea. And i have been able to do 2 premier Proteins a day since sunday. I am eating soft foods and that is going well too. I am also down 25 lbs and a coworker noticed my weight loss for the first time today. It made me feel good because I didnt tell anyone about my surgery except my mom and best friend (and hubs of course). I havent been able to see a difference and i was pleasantly surprised when they noticed. I feel incredibly lucky and blessed to have had such a great experience. I wish everyones experience could be like mine![emoji2] [emoji2]

  11. I'm pretty sure our surgeries were really close (mine was the 20th) and that's about what I'm getting ounce wise too. And don't tell my Dr but I use a straw 🤣🤣. It helps me get my ounces and I don't suck down air. I get more gas pain without one.

Yes! Mine was the 18th and your secret is safe with me! How is your nausea, etc?

  12. Hall711 - how many ices ounces of liquids are you getting in? I’ve maybe got 12 or so, so far. [emoji51] I’m going to start all my Vitamins tomorrow so hopefully that helps with some energy. I got home a few hours and should not have weighed myself. I gained 10 lbs during surgery.
Haha that is to be expected. Wait a week, and you be lower than your surgery weight. Be patient! And i still struggle with the liquids. They want me to get 64 but i get 50 to 55. Sometimes less. But i feel okay. The tiredness is part of it until we adjust. Im perpetually tired lol. Just sip and nap and repeat.

  13. Oh Hal--- you have to get better, feel better, there is a whole batch of July RnYers [emoji188]coming along, me included, you are going. to have to mentor us through, we want to be successes also. We look,up to you, you are still close enough to the fire[emoji95] to be able to tell,us how not to get burned too. We are enviously watching [emoji102]you!
Haha. I am happy to share any and all of my new knowledge and experience!! Just ask. [emoji4]

  14. @Hal711. You’re the sweetest to check in on me. How is your pain now? I remember you asking others right after your surgery. My pain is what I was not expecting. First, it was my back. It was a constant throb even with pain meds. I guess it was from how they positioned me during surgery on the table. Now it’s all about the left side where the main entry point was on my abdomen. It’s so hard to get out of bed and shift around. I learned quickly to stay on top of the pain meds or else I would feel really lousy. I actually stayed an extra night by choice because the nurse staff are sooooo sweet and so pampering. It will be harder when I get home as I’ll have to really work on liquids. I can barely stomach anything right now so the bag of vitamins/liquids they give constantly are helping me survive. I’m pretty drowsy most of the time from the Oxycodone and nausea meds but sleeping it off feels good. It’s crazy how I have no hunger. I’ve eaten nothing since I’ve been here which was Monday 7/25 and today I’m entering my 4th day. The surgeon is going to discharge me today so I believe I’ll be going home around Noon. We have a circular hallway walk on my floor I’m on that measures 400 meters so I’ve been trying to make the loop a minimum of 4 times per day so I can get a mile in. Mentally I think I’m ok. I just worry about eating and drinking. It’s such a challenge but I know Incan do it. How are you? Tired still? Just taking Tylenol? Thanks again for checking in on me. Means a lot.
The only pain i have is at my main entry point and only intermittently. I am tired at times, and i havent really had to take anything for pain since last sunday. The liquids are a challenge. Try to sip, sip, sip. It will get better and easier with time. I still dont feel hunger, so dont be surprised by that. I am glad that you stayed an extra night and walking really is key to get the soreness out and the gas moving. Youve got this! Its hard, but keep your chin up! Glad to hear that overall you are doing okay. [emoji4]

Went to Walmart yesterday. Leaning on the cart the whole time - not from pain, but from weakness. Wore me out! RNY June 11

I feel ya. I had RNY on the 18th and I came back to work today. Made it a half a day, but I have been all I can be. Im exhausted!!

  16. So I had my first stage 2 foods today, which went well. And I had my first venture outside the house. I just feel so wiped out now, like Ive run a marathon. After a nap and (not enough liquids today) I am officially too tired to go anymore. Off to bed I go. Anyone else having energy slumps?

I'm doing good. Started to get cramps in my calves so I switched from Water to g2 Gatorade. Making sure to drink an ounce every 15 minutes or so. I'm just really really tired. Still a little sore. Drank too much Water too fast and almost threw up earlier today. I hate feeling so useless. I'm gonna go to bed now lol

Trixie keep your chin up. Also, my doctor told me to drink propel. I dont know if that is his preference or what, but so far so good with cramps. (Except some gas cramps) Did they give you a Multivitamin bag and Iron before you left the hospital?
