Received A Bill Finally
bypass the dr's office and go to your insurance company. I received a bill from the hospital for $12800 and it is because they filed it as my surgeon, anesthesiologist and hospital as all being out of network! I had to literally call them weekly to make sure they were staying on top of it and getting everything refiled and in the end they sent ME a check for over payment of approximately $98. I researched the surgery for 2.5 years before doing it and knew exactly what I would be responsible for out of pocket and kept ALL receipts and correspondence information between myself, the hospital, dr's office and insurance company. The dr's office doesn't care whose oversight it is as long as they get paid. Contacting your insurance company and making sure they filed everything correctly is worth a shot. Good luck!

Exercise
I have always hated exercise but I have learned, especially after my surgery, that it is a necessary evil for me to lose my weight. I had surgery on June 6th and am down 64lbs but I always, always dread going to the gym. I usually do 45 minutes of a fast pace walk and then 15 minutes of strength training. What do your workouts look like? I would like to switch it up a little but then again I am a stickler for routine and don't do well with change. Anybody else dread it as much?

Keto after sleeve?

Keto after sleeve?
That’s not true. While keto is cooking with and using/eating more fats it’s main focus is protein , no sugar and no carbs. But as with any diet you can modify as to not intake as much fat and salt. Maybe mine will get better but after I’ve eaten my protein, I have no room for any vegetables. And I was told to limit my carbs to 20-30 per day which is next to nothing because it seems like almost everything has carbs in it. I’m grasping at straws because my surgeons office did a merger and since then I haven’t been able to talk to my nutritionist.

Keto after sleeve?
I am almost 3 months out from my sleeve and have lost 50 lbs which I am good with but still struggle with getting all of my protein in so I have started following the ketogenic diet. Anyone else tried this? Thoughts? Results?

Process Timeframe??
My journey started in October 2017 and I had surgery in June of this year. I think it all depends on what your insurance requires

Bad day blues
You got this! If it was easy everybody would be skinny. You will have your bad days , hence my original post, but with your positive mentality you will be just fine!

Bad day blues
Gomum I think some of it has to do with Aunt Flo on her way. Today is a new day though and I’m starting over! Greentealael I will look into that! Thank you!

Bad day blues
So I am almost 8 weeks post op and have been doing great! I’ve lost 36 pounds and I exercise at least 6 days a week and eat mostly protein and try to eat less than 30 carbs a day. But today has been rough. All I want is cereal. Like fruity pebbles cereal. And I’ve been hungry today like no other!!!!! And because of all this I feel big and like I’m sabotaging my hard work! I would even eat the fruity pebbles in almond milk if it would help! I guess I am just looking for reassurance from my sleeve family that I’m just have one of those days and it too shall pass ?

I found a protein shake on Amazon that has 40 grams of protein in each carton
Make sure it doesn’t have a lot of carbs and sugar in it
