Confused

Hey friends,

I am exactly 2 weeks post op and am down 20lbs but I feel like I’m stuck at that number. I’m getting very little to no calories in and my body is going through ketosis AGAIN. I know everyone’s body’s are different but how much was everyone losing at this point? And what where you eating on the regular to get protein in? I cannot do anymore protein shakes right now. They literally make me gag. Also, what kind of exercise are you doing at this point?

Thanks!!!!!!

Eating too little can cause your weight loss to stop. The body has built in defense mechanisms to prevent starvation and will start to fight weight loss if you restrict calories too much or exercise too hard.

Your body is healing. You need those calories to repair your stomach.

Follow your surgeon's guidelines. They exist for a reason. Your team has seen people do and try everything...and they will advise you on the safest most effective way to proceed. Listen to them and follow their instructions.

Drink your water. All of it. Get your protein in. All of it. Once you have those two things covered...then you can think about exercise.
