    ONEderland...blessed!

Yippee! Yay, yay! <insert cartwheels> Congrats, @AshAsh1! You look gorgeous. I'm so happy for you. I agree with @Missouri-Lee's Summit, you are super wise and always have the best advice. 136 lbs. down is absolutely remarkable! You look like a totally different woman. I hit ONEderland this week too and feel like I'm walking around with a huge smile on my face. It really does feel good. I was so excited that I decided to celebrate and give away a $100 in celebration. If you like, you can watch my video for details. I'm drawing the lucky winner on September 1st. xoxo

    5-weeks post-op H20 still hurts

I agree. CRYSTAL LIGHT, baby! Makes a world of a difference compared to plain water.

    Worlds longest stall

Holy moly! 200 LBS! That is amazing. CONGRATULATIONS! That is a super long stall though but it sounds like you are doing everything right. I'd definitely talk to you doctor, nutritionist and a personal trainer. They can work as a team to come up with a unique approach to change some things around. Good luck, lady. You're an INSPIRATION!

    Keto Rash

Crazy you have the rash too. I'm sure your sis knows best though. My sis is a nurse and we ask her everything! LOL

    Keto Rash

Thanks for your response. The rash has gone away. It was pretty minor but I'm seeing a lot of stuff online about it. No new foods or soaps and pollen is ok right now. Great thoughts so. I'll keep an eye on it.

    Hair loss

When ever I see posts like these, I nervously read in hopes I find someone that hasn't lost any hair. Did any of you take Qsymia as a diet pill/weight loss effort before surgery? I took it for a couple years and my hair thinned quite a bit. I wonder if it was the pill or the sudden weight loss at the time. Also, during my Divorce, my hair looked bad. Stress is a huge trigger. My hair is finally full and closer to it's natural state than it's been in years. @Roxine - your hair looks beautiful. I'd definitely pay $230 if necessary too. Glad you found a solution. Recently I heard that it's not so much the rapid weight loss that causes hair loss but more so the anesthesia in the hospital during surgery. Something about how the anesthesia basically turns your hair follicles dormant and then 4-6 months later the loss starts and is so sudden because you're not losing and regrowing monthly like normal, healthy people. I'm not sure if I understood all that correctly and if there are some medical articles to support it. But, it was terrifyingly interesting.

Weird post-op weight loss surgery benefit...

This is fascinating. In a family of 6, my dad and I were always the ones to get eaten alive by mosquitoes. He always told me when I was little "It's because we are so sweet". I've always been a big sweater especially while working out. If this surgery changes sweat and smells that mosquitoes are attracted to I don't even know what to say. It would be the best thing ever. AMAZING!
  10. Hi! I love Mederma for scars almost as much as I love a good deal on Ibotta! Ibotta has an amazing deal/rebate right now for Mederma cream. Check out my video for details on how you can get if for your weight loss surgery scars for either more than half off the price or if you're new to Ibotta, you can possibly even get paid to try out.

Scar Therapy - get Mederma for FREE now!

Eeeek, I'm surprised they used staples on you. Ouch. There's lots of scar therapy options out there. Mederma has really helped me in the past so I'm hopeful it will do me good this time around. P.S. - noticed your stats. You're doing SO amazing! 131 lbs. gone. WOW!

Glad to hear it. This stuff works amazing! I bought 2 bottles of it yesterday before the amazing deal expires.
  14. So, there is a shortcut I use when updating my weight. On every page on right hand side when at a computer, there is a long column of featured surgeons, ads, recent status updates, trending news, etc. On the very bottom is a ticker to show how much weight we've all lost titled "together we have lost". In that ticker, if you enter your updated weight, then your stats are updated in your profile. .

    June RNY buddies?

Hi All! Can anyone share their menu of their daily meals/snacks? How many calories is everyone getting? I meet with my nutritionist next week since before surgery and want to be sure I'm ok. I average between 700-800 calories a day right now and probably burn an extra 300-400 calories a day during my jogs/light lifting. I'm averaging at about a 1 lb. loss per week so hoping I can figure out if I need to make any adjustments as I wish I was losing more only being about 8 weeks out... TODAY: Breakfast: Dannon Oikois Triple Zero Vanilla Yogurt Snack: Premier Protein Shake, Calcium Chewy Bite, Fiber Choice Chewy Tablet Lunch: 2 oz. turkey deli meat, 1 oz. string cheese, 1 oz. canned carrots Snack: Premier Protein Shake, Calcium Chewy Bite, Fiber Choice Chewy Tablet Dinner: 1/2 Cup Amy's Organic Vegetarian Chili

Ugh. I am SO sorry you had one too! They are no fun and seriously worse than labor pains. Poor thing. So glad to hear it's passed and the others have flushed out too. Always a good reminder to keep on drinking our fluids.

    One Year Milestone!

That is so beautiful! I absolutely love it. I'm sure it has a special significance to you but what I can see is that you're a doll stacked within a doll yourself. You're letting the little doll shine now.

    One Year Milestone!

Incredible success! I loved reading your post. Especially you visiting Israel and all your NSV's. You look amazing. The big question is, did you get a tattoo?

    June RNY buddies?

Yes! Thanks for asking. I definitely passed the kidney stone 2 weeks post-op and pulled a muscle during the agony. Two weeks later the muscle was healed and I had no more signs of kidney issues. Wahoo! I'm trying to keep up on liquids as much as possible.

    June RNY buddies?

Hi! I pretty much just walked daily the first 6 weeks for about an hour a day. It was slow and leisurely. This week since I hit 6 weeks post-op, I've bumped everything up and am moving a little quicker to try to get the heart rate up. Walk/jog for 45 minutes daily and strength training 3x a week. It feels great! Have you started exercise too?

    Insomnia Post Op.

Haha! Me too but I'm only 4 weeks Post-op. It's been happening to me the last week. I was thinking I either need to go to bed a little later or start exercising more.

How often have you gotten sick?

That made me giggle! I've been thinking about compiling and making a video on these terms. There are so many and I'm still guessing/googling on half of them. Haha!
