So excited for you! I remember finding out that my insurance was going to cover mine! I felt a sense of security. It will be time for your surgery before you know it! Mine is tomorrow, and I am so so so so nervous!

I am so so so so so so so so so scared! I might have an anxiety attack before the surgery. Anyone get some medicine to calm them through the IV? Does it work?

Thank you! I really appreciate other people’s positivity since I am lacking it! I don’t know how I am going to sleep, hence me being awake at 4:13am!

Hi! I have a job interview next week for a teaching position. You usually need to do a practice lesson so they can see how you teach. Will I be able to teach for 30 minutes after my surgery? Surgery is on Friday! They wanted the demo on Monday, but I really don’t think that is a good idea. What do you think??????

My surgery is on Friday. I just feel like I am waiting for my death. It is so terrible, and I am so scared ugh! Anyone else feel that way? Am I being overdramatic? Please provide some encouragement!

I’ve dropped 75 pounds and EVERYTHING about my life has changed for the better. Stay the course until your surgery and you will be so happy that you did!
I do believe you, but at the moment I am so miserable and want Pasta and bread and pizza. I hate myself so much, but food definitely does make me so happy. I miss being skinny and fit, but this is just sooo hard. The only reason I am sticking with it is because I am so scared of the surgery. Do you still have food cravings?

You will definitely have the best sleep. I remember feeling queezy and had heart burn for the rest of the day, but wasn’t too bad. You aren’t supposed to drive, but I did drive at night. I benefited from resting the rest of the day, but you’ll be fine!

It is the second day of my pre-op diet. I can have three Protein Shakes, chicken broth, jell-o, ice pops, yogurt, and calorie free drinks. I am currently starving and miserable. I really need some encouragement. Surgery is on Friday. I am just so sad and want food 😭😭😭

How is everything going surgery twin? Today is day two of my pre-op liquid diet and I am starving. I am craving bread and Pasta so badly!!!

Started my liquid pre-op diet yesterday. I have horrible stomach cramps now! Could it be the Protein Shakes? You would think this healthy eating would cause awesome BMs but nope! Ugh 😑

Emotions wise, I feel like literally every emotion that exists I feel most of the time (lol). I'm excited, nervous, worried, happy, anxious, and extremely curious what my own results will end up being etc all in one. But this week has been interesting - I keep seeing different foods going "goodbye, chicken wing"... "goodbye cup of coffee". lol. Pre op diet time is almost here I have to start mine on Friday.
You have to start your pre-op diet early! I start mine the 10th. I know that is going to be difficult. I have not eaten that little in a long time. I am leaving for a cruise on Saturday, so that is when I will do all my goodbyes 😂 I really hope I heal quickly because I am a teacher, and I start school three weeks after surgery. Keep me posted, and let me know how the pre-op diet is!

I am scheduled for August 17th as well! I am nervous but ready! Let’s be friends and keeps tabs ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ Have you done everything so far? I need to do the blood work and the 45 minute sonogram which is in two weeks

Hi! I just set up all my appointments yesterday! I literally have to do everything that you are doing! Do you have Aetna? My surgeon already gave me a date of August 17th! Hopefully we get approved that’s what I am worried about.

From 2010-2011 I lost 60lb.
From 2011-2012 I gained 60lb.
From 2012-2016 I lost 60lb and hit my lowest weight of 139lb.
From 2016-present I gained 90lb. At highest weight of 227lb.
I just don’t want to try and do it again 😭 I am physically exhausted all the time. I am depressed and food is the only thing that makes me happy. I just want the surgery to kill my cravings and help jumpstart my lifestyle change, which I never succeeded in doing.
Did anyone else feel the same before surgery? I just need this tool because I’m tired of losing and gaining!

I am not sure if I should get the surgery because I have no other health problems. I would feel better if I did because I could tell myself that I am taking a risk to reduce my health problems, but I have none! What if I am making the wrong decision by getting surgery? I am so stressed and don’t want to die
Anyone else just obese and that’s it before surgery?

I am so happy for you! I remember when I was fit and used to go to the gym 4 days a week. I miss my fit self, but life got the better of me. Definitely take it slow. Before you know it, you will be running a 5K. Just remember that some days you feel amazing and can run so much, others you will just be exhausted and be like "f" this. It usually helped when I ate a carb before running. Congratulations!
