  1. Hi! I just got my sleeve yesterday. I was terrified!! Utterly terrified. I thought I was going to die on the table. Once you are in the pre-operating room, the doctors make you feel so good. When I was ready to go into the operating room, 4 people were wheeling me out!! I felt so safe because they were joking around and it made me feel getter. Just trust your room! You just had to force yourself to go. I am in very little pain right now. If you have any questions, please let me know!!

Sorry that this is graphic but I want to know if anyone else is having horrible diarrhea. I had surgery yesterday. Today, I have horrible bloody diarrhea. I was told I would have blood in my stool because of the surgery but this is insane. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes!!! I had surgery yesterday (8/17/18) Thank goodness I am not alone. My diarrhea is so bad I’m peeing out of my butt. I hope I feel better because I can’t pass gas or else I will poop my pants 😭😭😭😭

Hi everyone!!! I am doing completely fine right now. Just trying to get some rest. I am very thirsty right now. After the operation, I was on a lot of discomfort with gas pains and nausea. I threw up flemmy blood. Luckily they gave me something for my nausea that knocked me out. I felt like I was able to walk right after my sleep. I did end up walking 1/4 of a mile in the unit!!! I was scared, but once I was in the hospital, everyone was so kind that you kind of forget about it Bc I asked how many sleeves they have done today. Thanks for all the prays my friends. I truly needed it. FYI, it is a very long process. I was in the pre op stage waiting in my bed at 12:50pm, then I finally got my room at 9:30pm!!!!! My poor parents. Any questions, please just let me know ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Glad you’re out and doing well. What was the flemmy blood from? Did they check everything out to make sure you’re ok?

They told me it was from the tube that was down my throat. I also asked my step mom, who is an OBGYN, and she said it was very normal. Don’t worry, I made sure to ask everyone Bc I was so scared of heaving blood!!!

I just added pepper to my chicken broth. I loved my chicken broth time!! However, I am starting to get sick of it... I really cannot wait for the cream Soups after surgery :) :) :) :)

Hey jultrim18! Thanks for the reply! When is your surgery scheduled? I love broth especially beef but was worried I would need variety. I’ve been looking for the flavored broths but haven’t found them except online. Are you having sleeve or RNY?

My surgery is today! I am currently freaking out. Anyways, if you know how to make beef Soup, you can just drink the broth! I bet that is so much more delicious than the canned stuff. I love making broth Soups like chicken and beef, but I was just too lazy!

  7. Hi friends. Well, today is the day. I have to be at the hospital 12:30PM Eastern time. My surgery is scheduled for 2. I honestly feel so sick right now and my stomach is cramping. I am having a terrible, terrible anxiety attack, and I just want to cry. Positive words will make me feel better 😭😭😭😭😭

  8. My mom got her sleeve at 53 years old. She had a good 4 weeks off of work. She got to the lowest weight of 170lb, but then, due to the lack of support, she is stuck at 185lb. She definitely has bad eating habits, but it nice to see that she cannot get over 200lb. I am going to get my sleeve tomorrow, so I am hoping we can be a super team and get to a healthy, normal weight together and live a healthy lifestyle! :)

  9. My surgery is tomorrow! I am sooooo utterly nervous! I know I will have to take a Xanax tonight in order to relax. I am also going to be freaking out and shaking tomorrow at the hospital. I promise to let you know how it goes! Just know that my fear is so bad that I feel like I am going to die. This place has really helped me with my nerves. Since your mentality is so negative, it is imperative to make sure to listen to positive support from others!! Good luck!! :)

  10. My parents are supportive, but they are very nervous. Luckily I have my mom who already had the surgery. My boyfriend, on the other hand, is not very supportive. He keeps telling me how much he is going to miss my body (ew) and that I do not need to do it because he loves me the way I am. However, I am doing this completely for myself. I do not care that he loves my body; I hate my body. You just have to make sure you are during this entirely for yourself and no one else. If you have zero support at home, you can always come on here for motivation! We are all in this together!

  11. I hate Protein Shakes unless they are filled with Peanut Butter. My only advice is to not breath while drinking and to chug. It's funny because sometimes I am not chugging it; therefore, when I talk to people while drinking I am only breathing through my mouth and I sound so funny. They are all like, "What is your deal?" and I am all like, "I hate Protein shakes!" But I gotta do what I gotta do! Let me tell you I am a terrible emotional binge eater. This has been the hardest week for myself; however, somehow I stuck to it! I did not cheat once! If I can do it, you can do it! :) :) Good luck! Also, try making your own shake! My nutritionist said I can have once scoop with fairlife milk, banana, and 2 tsp of natural peanut butter. Does make it much better.

  12. I told my doctors that I do throw up after anesthesia; therefore, they are going to give me something to help with the nausea and to help prevent me from throwing up. Also, the only way you are going to not gain the weight is if you truly do a lifestyle change. I do have a food addiction. Therefore, I have to make sure not to incorporate any processed or refined sugars into my diet. Once I start again, I know I will be hooked. I am going to have to try and gain my gym addiction again. It sucked at the time, but it was better than being fat! Good luck!

  13. If you cannot incorporate another Protein Shake, why don't you try something whole grained? It will definitely go down a little better, and you are increasing your calorie intake. For example, you can have two slices of Ezekiel bread with natural Peanut Butter. That is about 255 calories of whole grains and healthy fats that will fill you up and provide you with more calories :) :)
