Thanks so much for the feedback! I am glad you are still doing well and believe in your sleeve ☺️☺️

It is hard because a lot of the time you are not thirsty. Then when you are thirsty you can only drink so little! I only had 24fl oz today! Bad bad! I have to force myself. I have never been a drinker though! I have to start drinking my Protein Shakes again to get Protein and liquids in. It was bad right after surgery. It hurt to drink; therefore, I barely drank. I then became dehydrated and almost passed out twice. Just force it really. Luckily 3.5 weeks out drinking does not hurt ☺️ Still find drinking lame though

Hi! I got my surgery on August 17th. I miss food so much and it is very hard for me. I get jealous and I eat through my bf by asking him how it is 😂😂 I definitely have a food addiction. It made me really upset right after surgery because I still had my cravings. Luckily my belly can barely handle meat. I’m scared to try anything else. Therefore I just force myself to be good.

Nahhh you’ll be fine. Eating Protein was the best thing you could do! ☺️☺️ Still never gets rid of my cravings though

I am a 25 year old, 6th grade teacher. I love hanging with my boyfriend and watching tv. I used to love to eat; now I cannot eat. Hope to embrace and instill this healthy lifestyle! I truly want it, but I truly miss my old ways of eating.

I would recommend Protein Shakes that have 30g Protein. Premier is my favorite. Then you just need to drink two, and you will get your liquids in. Right now all you need in protein shakes and Water. However, I still barely get my protein in 😂😂 I try though!!! I have to buy more shakes

I feel the same way. I was sleeved on August 17th. I miss food very much. I miss McDonald's and pizza and sweets and Snacks and chips and Pasta. I miss it all!!! Sometimes I wonder why I did this. It does suck. But I lost 20lb since the surgery. It’s been 3.5 weeks. I just keep going. The problem is that I want these foods, but I know my belly will not like it! Just eating turkey, my belly is gurgling and it feels heavy in my belly. At least I can drink my milk! I love milk 😍 it’s like my dessert

I felt the exact same way. I actually thought I was waiting for my death; like I was choosing to kill myself by doing this surgery. I had my surgery on August 17th. I just forced myself because I knew I had to because I hated myself. Once in the hospital, I felt so safe and calm. I kept telling my doctors I was scared, and they helped me. You will be fine!! This surgery is performed all the time! You’ll do great!!!

I always remember. I think it’s because I have been taking daily medication since 2011, so I am so used to taking medicine. Use the app Baritastic! They have a reminder feature to take your vitamins!

Today I started full liquids! I am so excited for my Protein Shake, but I’m scared it will hurt my little sleeve. Any experience with going from clear to full?

I am so glad you also have food cravings still!! I think we just miss any form of solid food lololol I really just want a saltine right now or some white rice with soy sauce. It's strange.... btw just letting you know, the clear Protein really makes me very gassy! I hate it ugh... I prefer my Water and G2

I am 3 days post-op. I am doing pretty well with my liquids. However, I am only on Clear Liquids. I really try to just listen to my belly. I know that right when I wake up, my stomach is sore, so when I drink, I feel that brick feeling. I then take a deep breath, and I feel my belly gurgle, and then I feel better. I really just take it very slow. I constantly take tiny little sips. It is like you are sipping constantly, but that's what we gotta do. I hope the best for you!

4 hours ago, jacon said:So my surgery went very well they said! I was a little worried this morning, because my surgeon was around an hour late. I was so worried that my surgery was going to be postponed til a later date, but he showed up. My stomach is a little sore right now, but I’ve been getting great rest since the surgery, so hopefully that will speed up my recovery. And to everyone still waiting for their surgery date, I wish you the best of luck and the day will be here before you know it!
I am so glad that everything went well! I felt the exact same way! I was not in a lot of pain, I walked around the hospital unit, and I slept a lot. You might have a bit more pain at home because the nurses are not always providing you with medicine; however, it truly is not so terrible. I hope you do not suffer diarrhea like I did. I got it right after the x-ray drink and putting liquids in my belly. It's terrible. I really want to use depends lol. I cannot wait to start solids! Good luck fellow sleever!

I definitely think you would benefit talking to someone that specializes in food addictions and eating disorders. I am a binge eater myself. I just go the sleeve on Friday. I hope I truly make the lifestyle change that I need in order to be successful. You clearly are going to food for something. I have gone on Vyvanse for binge eating disorder, but I hate the way it made me feel. It does get rid of your hunger during the day; however, you will binge at night when it wares off. Do not beat yourself up. I see my mom, who also got the sleeve, eat so many chips and crackers. However, she gets so full with anything Protein. I would recommend snacking on protein instead. You will feel full at least. Try that out. Best of luck!

Hi! I was sleeved on Friday (8/17/18). I am just so hungry. However, I am craving like chicken breast and brown rice! I would do anything for real food! Tomorrow I get to start pudding and creamed soups! I am so very excited. Hopefully once I start eating normal food, I will no longer feel this weird sense of hunger. Anyone else feel this way? Am I just missing solids?

I am so excited for you!! Good luck! I just had my surgery on Friday, and I am feeling pretty good. After surgery I had very little pain and was walking around. I did throw up in the post-op covery room, but they gave me medicine. Let us know how it went!!

I love salad! I hope I can eat Panera eventually. I love Panera!!! mmmmmmm got my surgery yesterday, and I am still craving food. This is terrible.
-
How are you feeling? I had my sleeve yesterday. I am not in that much pain! I just had terrible diarrhea and my belly gurgles when I put something in it. I really hate that discomfort feeling. Wish you the best of luck!
-
No reason to feel that way! You are doing amazing, and just keep remembering that. Personally, I got so heavy because I love food so much. Food made me extremely happy, but it was only when I was eating. Then, when I woke up in the morning, I felt disgusting and hated myself. I hated always thinking about food and how happy it made me. I am scared I am going to go back to my old ways, but I hope I can fight through and this sleeve will keep reminding me to stick with it. Good luck!

Hi friends! I am one day post-op. I am experiencing belly gurgling whenever I put liquid in it. Anyone else feel this way? I also have terrible diarrhea! I hate it!

I was the same way! I could've done anything for some cucumbers or carrots or peppers. I was only allowed 3 Protein Shakes, ice pops, 2 cups chicken broth, jell-o, and one yogurt!! I really did enjoy my broth

You could be gaining muscle! I would continue to measure your inches instead of weighing yourself. Do not become addicted to the scale! If you do, best time to weigh is in the morning right when you wake up, fasted. Good luck!
-
Being someone who has lost 60lb twice, the number on the scale really does not matter. It is better to have muscle and be a little heavier on the scale because then you look awesome! Best of luck!

I did great!! I was walking around 5 hours after surgery. I was walking on my own. It’s not bad at all. I just suffered horrible diarrhea, that is what made it so terrible. I went to a meeting for work 4 days after my surgery! I was back at work full time 10 days after surgery.
