Anyone else HATE Protein Water?
I can’t tolerate the shakes, unflavored powder nor the clear protein water anymore since surgery. I am certain I haven’t gotten enough protein in these 2.5 weeks post op. I’m just waiting until the 28th so I can be of soft foods and get protein that way.

When does eating not hurt?
I start soft foods on the 28th at 3 weeks post op. I’ve attempted a few soft foods and noticed after 2-3 bites I’m pretty much stuffed lol. Just curious to know at what point after surgery were you able to tolerate more than a few bites to eat without stomach aches, gas or anything?

Experimenting before dr Allows?
I make two weeks post op tomorrow and I experimented with refried beans yesterday and chili on Saturday (literally like 6 tiny bites) because even with my vitamins my energy was low. I never feel Hungry and I get in at least 40 oz of liquid. I’ve lost 20 lbs since 4 days pre op. With a total 13.4 post op! I feel fine and have more energy! I will be telling my doctor on Wednesday at my two week check up. But I wouldn’t go overboard.

Serious Thoughts.....
I do truly believe that many people get the procedure due to wanting to get someone to notice or think that with this surgery their insecurities will be gone. Society has already made it a trend that smaller is best, instead of healthy is best. So that I believe is where people on here begin to obsess over the rate of weight loss even as little as 5-6 days out. This surgery WILL NOT...I repeat WILL NOT fix mental health issues. And recognizing depression or other mental struggles early in the process, I believe in the end will enhance the weight loss long term. Stress and other mental factors can cause weight gain, ultimately leaving the sleeve ineffective. I personally don’t think that all know they are suffering mentally until after the surgery. So a post op therapist should be something to consider.
