Probably just a bit too much. I don't really get a good warning when I should stop until I take one bite too many. Early on, portions are impossibly difficult to estimate.

Exactly! now with my week three coming up i started to schedule my meals since this morning ... with the variety i have now discovered im able to add structure to my meal plan.. So far so good,

Do u ever feel full..i haven't but i just stopped

my stomach is like numb but other then feeling full in the stomach i feel satisfied... ive been using sesame oil like a couple drops on Soups or adding chili powder or whatever just to give it something extra and with what i serve, i never finish because just two three bites and i tasted it , it was good and thats it.. i physically and mentally dont feel like i should keep eating it... as long as i taste it i guess ...in the first week only the Protein Shakes satiated me but now just tasting food bit here bit there and im fine.. so i dont feel full but i dont feel hungry either.

    are you having trouble sleeping?

I put ketchup on my eggs and I put stuff in my Soup too just to give it more flavor and I've been doing the Protein Drinks and the Protein Water I had coffee today but that s*** had me wired. I probably need to make some pudding cuz I have been having cravings for sweets

Sent from my SM-G920T1 using BariatricPal mobile app

with the sweets be careful... i thought id be a smartass and take a bite from a sees candy some little chocolate then spit it out, which i did ... and i still got sick.. it turned me inside so never again... try the light sherbert or get the gerber banana oatmeal and make a light avena with almond milk and a splenda and that kills the cravings.. its bomb.

i was told only drink Decaf so im on that with the fat free lite Creamer the french vanilla or hazelnut,, thats been hitting my sweets craving at night especially.

Same .im on full liquids but tried eggs and avocado. I only have pain on one of my incisions and it bugs me but other than that I'm good

Sent from my SM-G920T1 using BariatricPal mobile app

i couldn't do eggs but ive been putting Sriracha or tapatio on all my Soups and i haven't had a problem at all, and ive been drinking aloe vera juice about half a water bottle full a day.. its good for the healing.

It went awesome, the office is so so great. It's so new to be talking with doctors, people in general, who know that I don't eat too much or think I'm lazy but know that my body isn't functioning as it's supposed to. It's really refreshing and I'm really optimistic about the future. She did say that my estimated surgery date would be the beginning of October, my husband gets home from deployment the end of October during our daughter's first birthday, so fingers crossed!

congrats on your new journey... it took me three years to get my sleeve but because my doctors kept dropping my inaurance...im currently 5 days post surgery and after the initial gas pangs from the co2, I'm so happy with my decision to stick with it... don't let your mind be your worse enemy because for me, the anxiety is what almost made me give up a few times... so no matter what obstacles are coming , stick with it! you will be proud of all the hard work your about to contribute to your self being.

I’m three days out post op and i experienced a ton of pain from the gas the first day i was in the hospital. Eventually i was able to pass some and since I’ve been home I’ve had more soreness and pressure in my stomach area and a little in my back due to sleeping. I’m still trying to find my hitch in that. I’m walking too but I’m not allowed any milk products for at least two weeks, only Clear Liquids so for me it’s broth and Jello and Water and clear Premier Protein drinks. Good luck with your new journey

I guess the doctors orders varies....the coconut Water and savila(aloe vera drinkable) are clear liquids with an almost gel like texture.... today i just started getting gas pangs in my back and neck too. the walking helps a lot but I was told not to overdo that too.. forgive me for being crass but I started to expel gas the other way as well. I've been looking up light yoga techniques having to do with expelling trapped gas and I guess any progress is good. good luck as well with yours.

  9. I'm about 53 hrs out of the gastric sleeve surgery and about 24 hours back home...i found that the worst part was the gas... I bought some almond milk mixed with coconut milk by a brand called silk and I've been able to drink a satisfying amount without it having it come back up and I've felt the gas pangs have subsided since...ive drank about 6 ounces over 5 hours and though the bloating is still there the gas pangs have calmed severely.. obviously I'm not a doctor I'm just spreading this discovery p..s. the mini fridge I bought for my room upstairs but those cactus coolers are not mine lol...

I did forget to mention I've done a lot of walking. alot. ... and that's helped with the bloating and the co2 gas trapped in the abdomen.

46 hours after surgery, 18 hours since arriving home...

lol auto correct... i meant to say the staff were very sympathetic . from the moment i arrived till my discharge... i was even visited by the hospital manager and even though; im guessing its standard procedure , it was very calming for my nerves. Dr. Ali came to see me before hand and that was reassuring as well... so other then the hopefully temporary pangs of the left over co2 gas in my abdomen and chest (which are painful id rate a 6/10), it wasnt such a tremendous deal as i had made it out to be ,, it was the fear that created conflict in my psyche about undergoing this rather overwhelming change on my lifestyle.. i really dont regret nothing ...

  14. Congratulations - how are things now?

    44 hrs after the surgery...
took half a valium to knock out...otgerwise no significant pain, and I've actually slept on my stomach...things are normal, someone asked if I was grossed out by food, I said no it smells good what they are eating but it's a feeling like when you have the flu, you can't eat because you just can't (in your mind)...i over did it on the juice a couple times when taking my Vitamins and it came back up...so I gotta be real mindful how much liquid is coming in..

  15. I was released 24 hours after the surgery after a night of a lot standard test, a few laps around the recovery floor and two visits with the physical therapist... I'm home now ..other then drinking a bit too much juice with my Vitamins, which resulted with it coming back up, I've been sleeping fine and up and about just conscious of the delicate nature I find myself in . honestly it wasn't too bad... it was the fear that weighed me down the most..but all that is now gone.

  16. not too bad the only pain I feel is the co2 in the abdomen and chest, feel like I can't burp, but the initial walk around the recovery floor is alleviating that... honestly the worse part by far was the anticipation and fear. Thanks Dr. Mir Ali and the staff at Fountain Valley Regional... it's been a great experience this far1525377262981.jpeg
