  1. Do you have any additional information? What were the bills for, maybe the hospital stay/surgery? I know my primary insurance covered my surgeon with no problem, but not the hospital he would perform the surgery at. The ins required a Center of Excellence. Thankfully my secondary covered it as primary. Without any additional info, the coworkers need to inquire what the bills are for, if they have been submitted to their insurance, and follow up with the insurance as needed. Sometimes bills get separated from the pre-approval case number and the two need to be matched up. It is also possible the ins requires additional info to pay the bill and haven't received it from the doctor/facility. Too many "what ifs" here.

One of my coworkers got the lap band and I'm pretty sure she said she was being charged for the hernia repair and the assistant that isn't in our Network. My second coworker had it done use the same Hospital same assistance she also had a hernia but she got the sleeve. She is no longer employed with us she works for Southwest Airlines and I was thinking maybe they needed more info from her and they weren't going to cover it or since she doesn't work for Homeland Security anymore they're not going to cover the remainder of the bill

  2. I just had a couple questions because I recently was sleeved and two of my coworkers that had bariatric surgery at the same facility as me with the same insurance both got these outrageous bills for $35,000 like six months to a year after surgery. It's unclear what they were getting billed for but I just don't want 2 get one of these bills because my insurance says they cover bariatric surgery a hundred percent I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona it's a federal plan

  4. The scanner does not detect anything inside your body. It's not specifically looking for metal but it is looking for anomaly underneath your clothing where items can be concealed. The Mummy 42 reason they go off in there abdominal region is probably because of a surgical scar or loose hanging skin. It also might be your clothing like if you're wearing your old pants that are way too big for you that might alarm

  5. Hi Mamalala, do you remember a certain point when the pain subsided? I was feeling great at the hospital, but I’m in more pain that I am at home.

The pain was horrible the first night since then I've been sore but it's been better. Just try to walk around it might be air or gas

  6. not too bad the only pain I feel is the co2 in the abdomen and chest, feel like I can't burp, but the initial walk around the recovery floor is alleviating that... honestly the worse part by far was the anticipation and fear. Thanks Dr. Mir Ali and the staff at Fountain Valley Regional... it's been a great experience this far1525377262981.thumb.jpeg.87dd65c873c6ef9381c75765fca7e337.jpeg

  7. So, I was scheduled for surgery for 5/16, they originally tried to get me in for 5/7 after my appointment today, but that was a little too quick for me to get off work. Side note, I still haven't received official paperwork from the insurance company that I have been approved, but the hospital said they received the approval (they won't let you schedule for your preop with the surgeon until you get it). Should I be worried? Or just allow myself to shamelessly Celebrate briefly before I muscle my way through the liquid diet.

enjoy something before you start your liquid diet because I didn't it came too fast .before you know it I was already having surgery .the weight loss center where I went submitted my claim 5 days before my surgery they had already given me a date and it was approved the day before so don't worry if they're telling you to start your liquid diet go ahead and start it

  8. You probably have something in the materials given to you about this, but be aware that we're supposedly a lot more sensitive to alcohol--and for me, I was pretty sensitive to it before! And, of course, it's just empty calories than can blow your eating plan out of the Water, so you don't want to drink much or often. All other considerations aside, pot is probably going to be easier on your system than alcohol.

I know I don't always drink but we are going on vacation with a couple that likes to drink and I know they're probably going to offer me one probably won't drink it but I just wanted to know. I think my doctor did tell me but since I don't drink all the time I was like oh whatever
