  1. Ditto on Isopure unflavored. I add a scoop to 1/4 cup soup or broth.
  2. Doc didn’t recommend and I didn’t need one.
  3. I found bone broth, making a gravy out of it is a great idea!
  4. Got off 2 BP meds 3 weeks post op!
  5. I realize none of this is rocket science. Did you intend to be snarky? I am looking for help. If I can only eat about 1/4 c of anything - how does 3 or 4 times that quarter of a cup add up to the right amount of protein for the day? My doc is asking for 90g of protein a day for me right now.
  6. Thank you. New to the site and did not realize there were recipes.
  7. I am so sick of sweet protein shakes. Looking for good ideas during Puree stage and beyond. I do add a scoop of unflavored isopure to my soups but I am afraid that is going to get old too.
  8. Not dehydrated. Treating low blood sugar and low blood pressure. My family doc took me off two BP meds. One of the benefits is BP improvement! Feeling a bit better today but had 4 bad bad days.
  9. Ask about broths. Something savory may help you.
  10. June 1 here. Almost 3 weeks post op. Had some complications so longer healing time. Starting full liquids Friday for a week then on to puréed foods. Losing steadily. Really hard to keep hydrated. Very little hunger.
  11. 10 days post op I was barely getting off the 11 pounds I GAINED in the hospital! Takes our bodies a while to heal and adjust. You got this!
  12. I left 11 pounds heavier! But after 2 weeks I lost it and more.
  13. I am 2.5 weeks post surgery. I am so light headed and shaky that I might pass out if I stand up. Is this normal? I did end up with a full midline incision due to complications.
  14. Self pay. Scheduled for June 1. On day 6 of 10 day liquid diet pre-op. I have lost 15 pounds in 6 days. I am ready for surgery. HW: 360 SW: 340 (start of liquid diet) CW: 325 GW: 199 Height: 5’ 4” Age: 61
  15. Doing 10 day clear liquids plus protein shakes.
  16. I had to go off my nsaid a couple of months ago. That contributed to why I finally decided to do surgery. Getting the weight off will help with the pain.
  17. Seems like lots more people getting the sleeve now. Doing my research. Band has problems with slippage but not as invasive, reversible and can be adjusted for years and lower price. Also seems like similar weight loss. Sleeve more invasive, more initial cost but less after cost. What else?
