  1. I'm glad you posted this. I had to hunt for it, but I found my fitbit and am charging it now. I'll love for you ladies to add me. ann.m.slatter@gmail.com
  2. I live about an hour west of Katy, Texas. Small town of 2500 people. I had all my stuff done in Victoria, TX
  3. What kind of premier protein do you like best? I love my ninja blender. I’m not familiar with nectar protein. What does it taste like? I like your plan of how you get in 60 and 60!
  4. What kind of unflavored protein powder do you use? I’ve been wondering about using it. It really doesn’t change the flavor of food?
  5. I adore peanut butter. I’ve been using powered peanut butter. What exactly are you putting in your smoothies, especially the peanut butter one?
  6. I could have written this post word for word. It makes me scared that this was a lot of money for close to 20 pounds. ?
  7. Since you still have 12 days then you should call on Monday and verify. I had to do one and I’m glad I did. It helped me know what to do for afterwards. It is also good to help shrink your liver prior to surgery. Even if your doctor doesn’t require one, you can do it on your own. I would recommend it.
  8. How are you feeling now? I’m hoping that you are feeling better by now. I didn’t have a hernia repair but I did have my gallbladder out. This morning was the first time I didn’t wake up with terrible acid reflux.
  9. I’m feeling like that as well but I’m just a few days out from surgery. I hope you feel better soon.
  10. Good luck. Take the pain meds they offer you and ask for gas medicine.
  11. I am taking something every morning. I just didn’t think it would be this bad. Yuck
  12. I had surgery on Monday. Anyone else have bad acid in the mornings? I have to take my depression and anxiety meds in the morning and each morning I feel almost nauseated. Also, my calf muscles ache. Any tips or tricks?
  13. I had surgery 24 hours ago. I feel good now and pray it continues. Not going to lie, the gas was painful. If you haven’t had surgery yet, take the pain meds they offer the first day. Stay ahead of the pain. I didn’t and I struggled because of it. Hoping to go home today.
  14. Today is also my last day on shakes, but I do get to have a regular meal tonight. By regular meal, I mean high protein with veggies only. Tomorrow is liquids but mine don't have to be clear. I'll be able to have the protein shakes. I should be done with surgery by the time you go in. I have to get there at 5:30 and surgery is at 7:30. It might take a little longer because it is removing the lapband, taking out the gall bladder, and then doing the sleeve. There is a posibility that I also have a hernia so it might be four things in one. What part of Texas do you live in? I live close to Victoria, which is close to the coast.
  15. I can't use a straw either, but have a hard time getting enough liquids without one, and I'm still pre-op. Tell me more about the hydro flask bottles. What kind of lid do they have? Where can you get them?
  16. There are a couple of us going on Monday. Good luck!
  17. I hope you are doing ok now that you are post-op. Or stats are similar, and I'm also from Texas, so we can follow each other.
  18. I'm also on Monday. How are you feeling now that we are this close?
  19. I had all my pre-op stuff yesterday. My surgery is on Monday, June 11th. I'm nervous. I'm having a lapband removed, gall bladder removed, sleeve done, and possibly fixing a suspected hernia. I HATE surgery and am very scared.
  20. You can't have any solids at all? I'm so sorry. I just started my 2 week pre-op today and I have shakes for two meals but food at night. It will all be worth it!
  21. I'm also from Texas and will have my surgery on June 11th. I'm excited but have terrible anxiety when it comes to anything medical. My mom's side has a longevity gene but my dad died of a massive heart attack at 50. I'm 43 and just want to feel better and look better. I'm glad to know someone else with similar concerns. I have all those tests the week before surgery. I hope you get good results.
  22. My husband and I just had a talk tonight because this was a BIG concern for me. He is actually the better cook in the house, but he doesn't cook low fat. He said he would cook for he and the kids (16 and 13 years old) and I'll take care of myself. That's a huge weight off my shoulder.
  23. Thank you for your suggestions. I really like your idea of going to shakes now. Great list of foods.
  24. I'm trying to get into a good routine of eating better. I started yesterday and did good until last night. Ugh. This morning I felt really bad and so I ate a bunch of protein stuff and it helped me feel better. I'm a borderline diabetic, but no meds. No more sodas for me. I am trying really hard to cut out snack between meals. My hard thing is what to cook / eat. I'm a teacher so I guess I need to pack my lunch each day. Any suggestions? Then at night, my family of four has such diverse tastes and I know they won't like anything I make. I'm stressed about that.
  25. I'm glad there will be someone a week before me. I have anxiety anyway so I'm sure this last month will be really hard. I'm also a teacher so I'll be frazzled from the end of the school year. LOL
