  1. I didn’t tell anyone either. Told them I was having my gallbladder out (which was true) and that I needed to change my diet afterward bc there were foods I couldn’t tolerate anymore. Also, that I was seeing a nutritionist (also true) I don’t feel bad about “lying” it’s my business

  3. All the vitamins and supplements I have to take each day. Just annoying really
  4. I started drinking coffee in very small amounts about 4-6 weeks after surgery. Now I have 2 cups per day without any issue

  7. Meal planning def doesn’t take all day. We do menu planning on Friday/Saturday before we go shopping. Mexican Mondays, Tuesday and Thursday the kids pick and prepare dinners (with help), Wednesday’s are bento box dinner bc the kids have karate, Friday’s are Breakfast. We meal prep on Sunday’s, usually during football. Now it’s just for an hour or so on a Sunday. Start with a rotisserie chicken or make a big batch of soup. It’s super easy
  8. It will absolutely get better. I had a good 2 months where I was throwing up almost every time I ate. Then I had a virus and stalled For a month. These things happen, it’s part of the process. You have to advocate for yourself, I sat my butt in the surgeons office and wouldn’t leave without and answer.
  9. Goal: stay healthy for the month and lose 8 lbs Beginning: 181 lbs Post op: July 10, 2018
  10. No cheating, it’s only 2 weeks of your journey. You got this

  14. I have BCBS, had to have my doc sign off that I had done weight watchers for 6+ months before. My requirements became 3 nutritional appts in 3 months
  15. I absolutely agree! When you feel and look better, you don’t need to rely on clothes as much to try and give you a boost. I had WAY too many clothes
  16. Does anyone else get super excited about their donation pile? This is just the latest
  17. I’ve been so sick for the majority of February. Haven’t lost much of anything. But I still took a pic yesterday to remind myself that it’s a marathon, not a sprint
  18. You have two posts about the same topic. It just doesn’t seem like you are ready for WLS. When I decided, there was no doubt in my mind. It sounds like you aren’t there yet
  19. Anxiety and depression here as well. Combo of Wellbutrin and Prozac do the trick
  20. Got the results of my second study! No signs of sleep apnea! I’m CPAP free ??
  21. Phone, charger, and toothbrush. Don’t bring a lot of stuff
  22. Goes over the surgery itself, answers questions you have, explains how long you’ll be in the hospital. Meeting the surgeon was actually one of the last things I did. Every program is different
  23. Nope...no tricks You need to be ready and fully committed
  24. I wore a dress, nothing fancy just like a cotton summery dress. I didn’t want to risk anything rubbing against my incisions
