When is the best time to get a reading? First thing I. The morning? After a meal? This reading was about 2-3 hours after a snack.

The dreaded full liquid diet
NYJenn replied to AnnieD78's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I remember having the dreaded headache and just being tired from lack of calories, but otherwise the 7 day liquid diet wasn’t that difficult. I felt empowered, like I was taking the next big step toward my surgery -
I’ve never heard of a glucose monitor, where would I get one?

I don’t feel like a champ...I feel like a woman who somewhat destroyed a Dunkin Donuts bathroom. Sad face

Correct, but it’s my understanding (others might disagree) that purées are more like tuna or shredded chicken, not just taking regular foods and blending them up. I could take a Big Mac and blend it up, but that’s not what I would consider a “purée” I just want people to make the most of their WLS

So much sodium! Drinks loads of water. Also, I’d advice against puréeing any further meals, just because you CAN eat it, doesn’t mean you should

That really doesn’t seem like that much, they probably just aren’t used to seeing this side of you and its shocking.

Binge eating-14 months after surgery
NYJenn replied to Andrejeus's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
At my last post op support group, the nurse told us that a “pouch reset” does not prevent or fix stretching. Once you’ve stretched it out, that’s it...it doesn’t go back. Something to think about -
Attended my 20 year HS reunion last night. Someone told me I didn’t need a name tag, because “you look exactly the same” I’ll take it 😁

I’m having surgery tomorrow and I just want to know...
NYJenn replied to 12345shs16's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are embarking on a new chapter of your life. In order to do so, you need to cut ties with your old habits. I’m a year out and couldn’t fathom eating a sub sandwich, you can have the burger without a bun, pizza is iffy. Make sure you are ready for this, it’s a huge step, but a positive one. Best of luck -
Cost of surgery -- WOW
NYJenn replied to 2ndTimeFreedom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
