    Surgery is today!!

Be it known this day, I will not apologize for being a preacher or for proclaiming the gospel, but you are right, this is a weight loss board. Since this is a weight loss website as you say, I will be more careful as to what and how I post on it, that doesn't mean I will not tell people that I will pray for them, because I know that there are many on here that finds comfort in it. I could say a whole lot more, but I have learned that some things are better if not said. The Preacher!

    Surgery is today!!

I'm so glad to see you're doing well, I'm praying for your continued success! Concerning the preacher at the funeral, examples like that is exactly why it's so crucial for a preacher to listen to the Holy Spirit, he must be willing no matter what the circumstances are, no matter where he is, he must be willing to do what God wants him to do. We need more spirit filled preaches today, those that are willing to stand and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world, no matter the cost, even if it means our life. May God richly bless you! The Preacher.

    Surgery is today!!

Before this gets out of control, I would like to say, I'm sure this site is not intended to be a place to debate things of this nature, that's why I gave my email address, so please, in respect to others on this site let's don't go there. The only reason I replied was because you asked the question, I replied out of respect to you, whether you believe or not is certainly you're right. I hope there is no hard feelings between us, the preacher

    Surgery is today!!

Yes, on the 30th of this month I will be 59 years old, I'm an old country boy that was raised by my grandparents who were born again Christians. They taught me to respect others and brought me up in the ways of the Lord. A little over 22 years ago the Lord graciously and mercifully save me, in other words I became a born-again child of God, filled with His Spirit. In 1998 the Lord called me into the ministry to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. I'm an old time Baptist preacher who still believes the only way to heaven is through and by Jesus Christ the Son of the only true and living God, the God of all heaven and earth, and the creator of the fullness thereof. If I can be of any help to you or anyone else spiritually, please feel free to email me at brotherron98@gmail.com

Logging your daily intake of food and etc.?

I downloaded the Baritastic app today, I looked at some of the others but I liked this one the best, looks like it's more suited for this type of surgery.

    Am I the only one?

Here's the way I see it, women have a totally different chemical makeup than men do, hormones and etc. When I post something in the guys room it's because I am a man, and I would like a man to reply, because I feel his experience would be more related to mine than a woman's would. So I think the ladies should respect the guys room and the men that post in it, and that way you don't have to filter through replies that you feel feel like don't relate to you as a man.
  13. I posted a poll a few days ago about acid reflux. 4 people said they developed acid reflux after gastric sleeve surgery. 5 people said there acid reflux got worse after gastric sleeve surgery. My question is to those that participated in the poll, or to those that fall into either one of these categories. Now for the question, have you been able to control the acid reflux? If so by what means? Thanks very much!

The smaller your shirts get, the bigger your wallet will get. No more signs that read $3.50 more for bigger sizes.

Acid reflux question? Based on recent poll.

I'm sure that I can handle the lifestyle change that it takes to succeed after this surgery, but after much research and reading numerous accounts of people developing severe acid reflux after having the gastric sleeve surgery, this really has me beyond concerned. It seems that the only solution to get rid of the acid reflux, is to have a revision to gastric bypass surgery, I'm not sure that I can come to terms with that, just not sure that I could handle that.

    I feel scared and ashamed...

Amen! Sister Here's a couple more good ones. Psalm 106:1 (KJV) Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 18:2 (KJV) The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. The Preacher

    I feel scared and ashamed...

The prayer is nice, but, I would make sure that I was a born again child of God. Being born again is the only thing that will get you to heaven, after all that is the ultimate goal to strive for, just in case one should leave this old world. If you don't believe me, read John chapter 3:1-8 John 3:1-8 (KJV) 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

    Sipping?

I was told that I would have to sip my water after sleeve surgery, at least 64 ounces a day. Is sipping water just a temporary thing, or something you have to do from now on? I drink decaf coffee, how long does it take to drink a cup of coffee after you have a sleeve? I drink a lot of water, this sipping thing has got me wondering. Thanks very much.

  25. Hi everyone! I am a 59 year old male, 5'9" and weigh 350 pounds, and carry most of my weight in my midsection. I'm going to have the sleeve surgery sometime in September. The doctor said that I will probably get down to 220 pounds. If any of you guys come close to my age, height, build and weight, could you please tell if you have very much loose skin, this is the only thing that has me really worried. Thanks very much.
