Congrats and best of luck!!

Your entire response was fantastic. Not debating whether head hunger is real or not just saying the way you described the entire process has made the most sense to me ever. The doc explained, I have read so many posts here about the process but your post just made so much perfect sense. Thank you for that really!!! @josephsmom I am so sorry you are experiencing the after this way. I wish I could assist in the advice but I am still pre-op. I read a lot of posts to learn, and I certainly did from yours. I really hope things turn for the better for you and you become extremely happy with your choice. Best of luck to you!!!!!!

35 day Post Op Update (with pics)
J San replied to careteam70's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Pre op still but the advice I give is take it in stride. Your only just over a month out, you can't expect to get rid of all your unhealthy habits so quickly. 40lbs in that short of time is amazing. I can only hope to be so lucky. Slow learner or not your learning what you can and cannot do. I myself have a different crutch that I turn to in my times of "stress" (doesn't take much to convince myself i'm stressed). I have been pretty damn good for the last few months but worry about keeping it up after surgery. Before and after pics look great man, we are of a very similar body type so I kind of get an advance look if I do so well. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on how things go. You got this man!!!! -
ding ding ... and in this corner.... sorry but couldn't resist, but to answer posters question. I would say snacks are fine as long as you choose the correct ones.

Had my final visit with the nutritionist today
J San replied to elforman's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hope the approval wait goes by quickly. I've completed all my pre-op requirements short of a pre-op class I have to take which is scheduled for june 8th. My 90 day period is over mid june. Doc said two weeks for approval as well so he gave me a tentative surgery date of July 12th. The worst part of all this is the wait. The last two months seemed to fly by but now the days seem to pass so slowly. But it give me time to lose more weight I guess. I've got back issues as well and was wondering about the epidural you had. What does it do exactly and does it work? The only thing I've done for my back was a short run at PT which I swear made things worse. My old PCP sent me without having any exrays or MRI done so they had no idea how to treat me and guessed on a new procedure every time I went. I did visit a chiropracter that offers decompression treatments but insurance doesn't cover it. I'm hoping the weight loss will make a significant change but worried it won't. -

Tell them you had a sex change, but try to act serous. That will surely stir things up and have rumors flying around. Think of all the internal laughs you could have.

Keep your head up girl. Take it all in stride and know that all this that is happening is part of you getting to a better place. You had your aches and pains and you dealt with them. You may still be hurting but things are moving in a positive direction. You are obviously capable of handling the hard times, your currently dealing with them. It just proves you are stronger than you are giving yourself credit for. Stay strong, even if it doesn't come out on Monday you know you can handle it. Keep up informed and lean on us here for support.

One Month Post Op-Is it just me?
J San replied to Rebuilding the Temple's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Still pre op but from reading A LOT on this site I don't think the fluid intake has to be all water. Maybe try flavoring the water with something. I know you said you don't intake the artificial sweeteners but what about something with Stevia, is that considered a natural sweetener being it's from a plant? I think so. I'm sure this was no help at all but good luck. -
