  1. Great question. I was diagnosed with Ostio in my spine as well as herniated and degenerative discs and I'm praying the weight loss relieves some of the pain.
  2. Just found out what my 2 week liver shrink consists of and it's 2 meals 1 shake per, 1 reg meal but weighed to a specific portion size and 2 snack per day if needed. Think I had a pretty big grin when my NUT told me. Post is 1 week clear liquid......

    Life with CPAP

Got mine 2 days ago. Same reason as OP, sleep study as part of process for WLS. My PCP wrote me a scryp for a sleep study years ago but like most refused to go. For the past year or so my sleep schedule has been completely screwed. There are times when I'm up for 48+ hours and feel fine and other times where I'm dozing all day long. I've slept a total of 8 hours in the last two nights and can't say I feel any different with this thing. It doesn't bother me at all and when I am asleep I'm out but don't wake up refreshed as the tech that brought it here said I would feel, not yet anyway. Hoping this will get me back into the correct flow. Wife did mention I seemed to be quieter.

Guys: What do you do to relieve stress

My go to stress reliever for the past MANY years has been alcohol. Did the gym thing when I was younger but it was always kicking back with my boys throwing some back that always took the edge off. Well look at me now. More than 200 pounds over weight and a full fledged alcoholic. The past 3+ years have been the worse as I started having back issues which led me to not be able to work anymore and not provide an income for my family. More weight gain more pain and more drinking. This is the 1st year since I can remember that i'm not getting wasted every night. Not sure what finally flipped the switch but I don't want to die anymore. I still drink but I've come along way from what I was doing. Will completely stop soon, who knows maybe last week was my last. But know for sure if I do get approved for this surgery It is over. Hope to bring the gym back into my life and other activities that can be the new stress reliever.

Anyway good to see we have a "guys room" where woman "don't" read our embarrassing questions or comments. LOL Welcome gents, hope to read more and many of your comments.

Or is it just surgeon way ins? Good luck anyway. @Miranda Christine How did everything turn out for you so far? Hope all went well and you are healing wonderfully!!!

    33 more days!!!

The hardest part of this journey so far is the wait. I have a tentative date in July but still have to go through the approval process after my 90 days. I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnia and get my machine this week. i'm a couch sleeper as well but it is because of back issues. I can no longer lay down to sleep without severe pain. I sleep in the sitting position now. I'm hoping the weight loss will help some with that.
