  1. What a great success story. Congrats on your progress!! It's really a great thing to read these but especially when it's another dude. Just seems to hit home a bit more. Thanks for sharing your story and insight. Very much appreciated!!!
  2. With meat I'll usually make a portion that will last a few days. At meal time I'll take 1 to 2oz and eat that.

5k Run! 6 months post op!

Congrats!!! Sounds like a lot of fun. This is something I hope to be able to participate in at some point. Just have to work out some other issues first, along with the weight loss. Good luck on the with the Zombie run.
  4. Hey @macadamia , How's your recovery going bud? Hope it going smooth and havn't experienced any issues.
  5. Great transformation. Congrats on your success and Happy Surgiversary. I hope to be somewhat as successful. Thank You for your inspiration!!!!
  6. I wish you the best on getting through this. My question is why would you hold off getting in touch with your surgeon? At least to inform them you are going to ER for IV because you are concerned you may be dehydrated. Don't you think if you described your situation they might know from experience what could possibly be going on with you? The ER is a great idea but I think informing your surgical team is a must.
  7. All these meals look amazing. I eat the most generic boring things at this point it's not even worth taking and posting pics of it. I mainly eat eggs or chicken breast.
  8. How do you know you have stabilized and your not in a long stall?

    Pain

The only significant pain I experienced was within a few hours post surgery. I was woken up by the nurse administering my pain meds but I just wanted to sleep. She told me if I could sleep I did not need any meds, to which I said fine and went back to sleep. I woke up some time later with PAIN and NEEDED the meds. Other than that the "pain" was mostly just discomfort and only noticeable when getting up from a seated or lying position.

    Checking in

Sorry to hear about all the crap things going on for you right now. Great to know your in good spirits though. Congrats on the grand baby and hope your healing goes the best it can.
  12. I 2nd @GreenTealael 's sentiment. It's either really bad scheduling or he's got so many "flukes" there is no way around scheduling them all together. I would definitely consult a 2nd surgeon, maybe even a 3rd. Sorry I can't give you any input on the revision but the bigger concern is this surgeons response to your question about the complainers. Best of luck to you!! Sorry @GreenTealael I wound up getting my curser stuck in the box of your name and can't type anything after it when that happens. So you get 3 shouts.@GreenTealael
  13. Does he require some sort of diet at all? If not then don't worry about it. Eat what you want.

    Nervous

It's a super smooth procedure. Your nerves will smooth out as you get into the process. The best to you on getting through it and Happy Healing!!

I made it, thank the Lord!

Congrats on your successful surgery. Hope you have an easy healing period.
  16. Call and talk to the office manager. If you can't get in contact with them make a visit and ask to speak to the office manager. There's no reason they can't give you a call and say they are handling your case as a courtesy.
  17. How about some body weight exercises or resistance bands. I'm struggling really BAD myself to get motivated to work out.

    40 something sleevers?

That's gotta be frustrating. Better to be as healthy as possible prior to going under the knife though. Best to you, and hopefully the time goes by quickly for you.

    Post-Op Question

I used to get a similar feeling when I ate or even drank water. Almost all the time in the first few weeks. I chalked it up to fullness and learned to slow down or eat less. I don't get it any longer and sometimes eat fast or too much. Fullness and some uncomfortableness but not the same as earlier on. If your surgeon says your good to go and after being in the ER there was no problems found don't worry about it. Just know it will pass and become a distant memory.

    November surgery scheduled

Congrats on getting your date. Some advice.... Look over your program and see what's not allowed. Slowly start cutting those things out like you are doing with your bubbly water. Research foods and recipes for the different stages so when the time comes you have ideas or know what you want to try. Much more but I'm drawing a blank right now. Don't worry though, I'm certain you'll get many and more suggestions from everyone here. One more though from me. Read this forum, you WILL learn so much from all the posts and question and answers. I have learned way more here than was told by my surgery team. Whenever something new was brought up I already knew about it and very rarely had any questions. Good luck to you!!
