Thanks for your response. I’m feeling that this may also be the case. I have to really keep my eating in line. It’s good to know that this pulled you out of the stall, so I’m hopeful that I can pull myself out of this too.
Thanks!

Hi!
Sleeved March 1st. I’m down 40 pounds and then stalled for a couple months as well! I had to shake it up so I started the treadmill. I honesty haven’t been exercising but I need more now to fire up my system again. I have no willpower and find myself giving in to things. I need motivation I guess. But I’m not giving up!!

Doing well. Same thing with slowing down the eating. I have to still work at listening to my sleevie when it’s full. Down 48 lbs and thinning hair!! But it’s a work in progress. What are some “good calories” to eat that can jump start weight loss again. Anyone know? I don’t get a lot of help from my MD. I was a self pay and don’t have a lot of follow up consults. So I google a lot. Any help is appreciated.

How often are you all getting blood drawn? I haven’t had any labs since my surgery March 1. Concerned.

Feeling like I’m failing! Sleeved 3/1-only down 40 lbs and having a hard time. I self paid for this surgery because I was serious about getting myself healthier but I can’t seem to find the motivation. I do well one day then slip up the next. My surgeon said you loose the most weight the first year and he sounded disappointed in me. Anyone else struggling? How do you keep focused and motivated ???? Help !!!

I’m just curious. How often do you all see your nuts? I was sleeved on 3/1 and have had post op visits with the surgeon but have not sat down with a nut since my pre op visit

I have a call in to ask my doc. I sure hope so because I’m gagging on them. I have tried three different brands/flavors. And you know how expensive they are! Hopefully he will let me.
Thanks!!

I think as long as you’re still moving down that’s a good thing. Your body may still be adjusting. One thing that really helped me is making sure I only eat when I’m hungry, and stop before I feel “full”... I just don’t feel hungry anymore. Keep up the Water !! That is 17 pounds you couldn’t loose before right?!! That’s great!! Dont get discouraged! It’s working!

I too love food. My husband was a chef, in Italian and love to cook!! Here’s the catch. I am seven weeks post vgs...and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for me. And I was a SELF PAY! Here’s why. It’s a tool. You use it along with making healthy choices and moving more. My biggest change has
Been my potion size. I simply cannot eat what I used to. Not even close. I will still have almost anything I like to eat, but the emotional eating is gone. I am satisfied with a taste. I never ever thought healthy eating was something I could enjoy but it actually is. I think you have to be in the mind set that you’re truly ready. I’m 53 this year and tired of how I looked. I was ready. Now I’m eating better, parking farther away and moving more, and the motivation is what helps. When you see the scale start to move it’s incredible! It’s my motivation. I was nervous too. But am thankful every morning when I step on the scale.

Hang in there!!! It’s the pits, but it won’t last. And we’re all going thru it. Just stay the course!!!!![emoji255]

Hi! I’m about 7 weeks post vgs...I’ve noticed some foods I LOVED before that I cannot eat now. Mainly over easy eggs (the yolks!!!) I can eat scrambled but not soft. Also coffee!!! I drank a lot before. I know it’s not good to drink a lot but I thought I would enjoy a very small half cup this morning. I couldn’t choke it down. Also certain types of Turkey luncheon meats. Anyone else??

I’m just curious what you’re paying there. I was a self pay here in Illinois and with their discount it cost me about $14,000. Of course I took out a loan but will be moving soon and should be able to pay it off. Was just curious what the going rate is in Mexico.
Any March 2018 Sleevers?
