  4. Good for you! Congratulations.. I am 12 days post op. I got rid of all my 2xl shirts over the weekend. Down 22lbs in 12days and 31lbs since beginning my liver shrink...this is crazy..hopefully I will be allowed to do more exercise than walking soon..really fatigue early but at 53yrs old and eating 650 calories a day, I guess my energy will slowly come around..keep up the good work!
  5. Anyone have any suggestions/ what they use?
  6. I am day 8 this morning. I could go back to a desk job today, not sure I’d be ready but I think I would need a nap at some point. I am self employed and my job involves a lot of getting up/getting down, walking ,twisting and turning. No way I could do my job yet. After working for 28 years,I took off an entire month for “me”. I’m not going back until July. My business is large enough that I can do it.
  7. Walk,walk,walk..you’ll get thru it...it’s done..walking will make the gas go away..
  8. 53 yr old male 5’8” HW 278 SW 264 CW 248.5 GW Onederland I’m officially 1 week from waking up after surgery. Surgery was ok, recovery was challenging. Did not get discharged until late Friday. Starting to feel human now. No nausea,no constipation,no hunger..I do have gut pain but only when I first sit or stand on lower right. Other than that, I think I’m doing pretty well for an old guy. All the sweet protein makes me want to gag. Never was a sweets eater..more a meat, potatoes bar food guy..I do enjoy my sugar free popsicles though..I switched over to my Fairlife Fat free milk for my go to protein source..add chocolate protein powder at night as my tv watching nite cap....like I’m a kid again..weight loss is amazing to me..it is falling off daily..CRAZY
  9. Hmmm, thoughts and prayers offends you? I would venture to say that most folks who say “I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers” seldom actually do. It is just a saying wishing someone well and that you are concerned for them. This offends you? Got it...maybe the world would be better off if folks don’t say that? Let me know how that works out...
  10. Well 72 hours post op...gas pain is gone..only pain is on lower right side when I try to get up..core pain,..got in most of my protein and water..no issues but man my belly is huge,bloated..no sucking this gut in..
  11. Thank you..one day at a time.
  12. I’m am 48hours post sleeve, still in the hospital. They kept me a 2nd night because a couldn’t pee.,Going on my own now, going home today. Pretty miserable right now, a lot of soreness and gas pain.. think I am experiencing buyers remorse with no return policy. I need encouragement..

  14. Thx to all you fellow sleever’s!
  15. Well, I. Officially been traded to the losers bench! Surgery went well! Post op 24 hrs currently..gas pain the first night was unbearable, easing off today..walk,walk,walk...
  16. I’m the 30th in Baltimore...best of luck to you!
  17. Good luck to you also, Meggs11! You’ll do great! Wishing you the best.
  18. Thanks to all for the support....I’m definitely not worried about the hospital or the surgery, I’m more worried about life afterwards....but,I know what it holds for me if I continue on the current path...insulin..heart bypass...new knees....terrible sleep apnea.....
  19. Getting cold feet, but will have it done at Johns Hopkins..just finishing my 2 week liver shrink...anyone have words of encouragement? Any regrets? Hope I don’t regret this... 53 yr old male 5’8” HW 278 CW 259 GW -somewhere in Onederland
  20. A little over a week out...cruising on the 2 week pre op diet....lost 9 lbs since last Wednesday.....nerves are getting tighter though.....
  21. Stay strong, you can do it. My first two days were brutal, headaches(no coffee) and serious hunger..drink an extra protein shake if necessary to curb your hunger pains, it’s better than eating a bad choice. I switched my 1 meal a day to mid day instead of evening, it really helped me curb my hunger pains..
  22. I get sleeved on May 30th..I can’t thank you all enough for posting what you are going thru..I am super nervous about it all and really appreciate you all being so candid..
