  1. Hey, March 7th. I'm having 2nd revision now going to a bypass due to severe reflux
Heyyy I just did my revision with a hernia repair and I redid my sleeve instead of bypass. Im finding that my reflux is way worse this time than before. I'm thinking I may have to get the bypass too as well. I really don't want to get another surgery but this burning is not responding to meds. I'm vomiting from it.now. Just all around discomfort.

  2. Hi everyone I am in my third week post op and my weight loss has stalled.
I weighed 339llbs 5 weeks ago on my last way in before the two week diet. After the 2 week diet and before the operation I was 316llbs and last Thursday I was down to 306llbs but I have not dropped 1 pound in the last week.
I know there is plateaus but I did not expect one this early has anyone else experienced the same and is there something I can do to help get weight loss going again?

I stalled after 1 week post op. Gained 7 lbs I just kept eating according to my diet plan and the next week I dropped 6lb overnight and about a pound e eryday since then. I'm 3.5 weeks post op. Walk as much as you can. Pee and poop as well. Good luck

  3. I'm having the Gastric Sleeve surgery in 6 days! [emoji33] 4/16/18 is coming QUICKLY. I'm nervous, but ready for the day to come. I'm currently on the pre-op liquid diet, and I'm struggling.

The first 3 days were the worst for me. Soon after my cravings faded away and my body accepted the Protein Shakes and was content. After that was a breeze. Hang in there

  4. Is anyone in Stage 2 eating egg whites and avocado? I'm 8 days post-op and my appetite is slightly increasing. Any recommendation?

Had my post OP appt today. Got in trouble for not eating food. Only been sipping Soup every other day just drinking Protein Shakes been scared to eat. I was told that as the swelling goes down your stomach will hold slightly more food. I will be having my first meal today. Try drinking Water first they say thirst sometimes disguise as hunger

  5. Alright now, take it easy. I can’t sleep on my back so I have been trying to sleep on the side opposite of my stomach. It’s too tender the other way. But I can’t drive until after cleared by doc at post op visit. So you be careful driving so soon!

Yes. I thought it was because of the pain meds and I figured since I'm no longer taking them I could take a little drive. I'm able to walk pretty good well as good as my energy allows but I dont plan to drive again lesson learned.

  6. My gas was on full blast last night, thank goodness. I purchased some 3 oz plastic cups versus just kind sipping out of the Water bottle. Maybe its mental but that keeps sipping more. 6 day post surgery...am I the only one who is having pain issues near their incision site. Last night I couldn't get comfort. I must have turned the wrong way in my sleep...and I could have swore someone stabbed me in my tummy with a rusty and jagged butterknife[emoji16]

I have some pain at the site too. I stopped the meds on day 3 as well. I also can feel my stomach and the little aches from it. Still very sore very tender. I try to just sleep on my back. I woke up a few times on my side. Maybe the that's why. Hope you are feel in ng better. I'm having a bad day first day driving and I guess sitting up so straight wasn't the best made my belly ache more actually actually felt it throbbing hope I'm not damaging it. Gotta remember it's only been 6 days. What a long long week

  7. I've been walking around the house and pacing around my bedroom and a little toot here and there but nothing much. What did work though..funny...I leaned my upper half on my body on the bed and stuck my booty in the air.....and it worked. I don't know why but it did.

  8. I walked every hour or two. That didn’t help with gas. It make me extremely nauseous. And I would vomit mucous because not much fluids were in me. But now taking the nausea pills I am about to walk around the hour much better. Walking with the pills seem to work best or me. “Dry heaving” is the worst with raw incisions.

Wow I didnt have it that bad. I couldn't imagine heaving with a sore tummy. Sorry to hear that.

  9. I can’t even imagine trying to get my Vitamins in. I’m trying to get the pain, nausea, protonix, and gas meds in just to stay comfortable. I feel like it’s not enough room for anything. I can hear the Fluid going down and feel a little pain when it hits the stomach. So I’m trying like 1 oz or 2 have hour or so. My pre op diet was all shakes no meat and oatmeal for Breakfast with sugar free Jello or popsicle in between. The day prior or surgery and they day after I was on clear liquid. Today I’m on full liquid and it’s a struggle. I’m halfway through a shake. I had about 6 spoons of cream based Soup. The nausea meds and gas-x has helped greatly today. Unfortunately the staff at the hospital were not giving them to me on schedule so I was really uncomfortable until I got home and was able to stay on schedule with them.

I found that walking at whatever pace you can helps the gas tremendously. The walking helped me more than the gas pills. The hospital had me walking every 2 hours from as soon as I woke up until I discharged and I continued to walk around my house. Try it.

  10. I’m 2 days out I was on clear liquids the day of and the day after. Today was my first day of the full liquid diet which is to last about 2 weeks. If finding it hard to eat. I’m maybe halfway through a Premier Protein shake for the whole day.

I find it hard to finish my drinks as well. I actually drank a full Premier Protein today. It took me about an hour to do so. I managed 8 oz of Water as well. Today is looking better. Hopefully it will continue this way

  11. I was sleeved April 3. Am I the only one who was immediately put on stage 2 diet the day after surgery? Seems like everyone is on Clear Liquids except me. I actually havent tried eating anything beyond yogurt since coming home because I'm having a hard time with getting it in. I've only been able to drink 1 full bottle of Water on 1 day. Today I'm trying to drink at least one full Protein Shake and 2 waters throughout the day

  12. Hello All.
I did my sleeve surgery on April 3 2018. Wasn't as bad as I expected pain wise besides the gas. Omg the gas!!! If I can tell you one thing is as soon as your legs are stable enough after the surgery get up and walk around the hospital otherwise the gas will build up and it hurts like no end. I havent had much of an appetite but I try to drink as much Water and at least half a Protein Shake every day. Although the doctor put me on Stage 2 diet I dont feel my stomach is ready for it. Still difficult to finish a whole bottle of water a day. I'm looking forward to healing and being able to incorporate some form of exercise into my schedule. I'm ready for the results now. Good luck to everyone
