I made my own tortilla Soup, and then I blend it. It has satisfied my cravings. I was worried about the texture at first, because I am a horrible eater when the texture is funky!! This is actually really good.

Same here never been big on mushy textures or veggies so gotta figure out a way to get them incorporated soon!

Just tried Quest banana Protein Powder. Mixed with Water was delicious. I’m shocked. Under $1 a serving 24 grams of Protein too 100 calories. So gappy

Thanks will look into it, I’ve been surviving off a few different Proteins (premier, fair life, and muscle milk) I try to alternate them so I don’t get bored.

Creamy soup on the menu tonight finally can’t wait!

  2. Hows it going? we were sleeved on the same day. I am doing very well on my liquids as well surprised I am able to drink a few ounces no problem. I am getting in about 6-8 oz of Protein Shake at a time depending on viscosity usually within 5-10mins.

Same sensation when I drink to much lol can feel my stomach giving me the Middle finger as it begins to process.

This week I am bored out of my mind not being able to eat much, feel like my teeth are gonna fall out from not chewing anything lmao.... I need to prep my meals better...

  3. Hope all went well and that your on your way to a speedy recovery....

I am 5 days out of my surgery and down -14lbs drink slowly and move slowly be strong and stick to the diet. Don't listen to your brain lol listen to your new stomach and stay focused.

Good luck cant wait to hear how it went.

  4. Take the first steps TODAY!!!!

load up your favorite music into your phone, put on your sneakers and get outside! Walk to the car, walk past the car, walk to a neighbors house, walk past a neighbors house and find the next goal...

This surgery isn’t a miracle but rather a tool, set small goals daily and achieve them once you start knocking them out, one day turns to 7 and 7 turns into 30 and 30 turns into 6 months and 6 months turns into a year!

The only one that can stop your actions is yourself, I think about eating crap daily but I choose not to give in fill your stomach with energy not comfort and remove yourself from the temptation. When your hungry do not watch TV the god damn food commercials only make it worse, drink your fluids, put on a movie go wash the car, go clean around the house do something productive just DONT GIVE IN!

I hope you find the help that you need in something new other than food, find a hobby/passion you can focus on and it will make you a better person. This is a daily battle don’t think of it as anything else set your goals and let’s do this as failure cannot be an option, you know what that feels like and it SUCKS so don’t be afraid of succeeding what do you have to lose if you try?

  5. The lapband was a torture device!!! The port the stuck sensations from drinking fluids, prepping a healthy meal only to throw it in the trash cause the first bite got stuck! It was the worse decision I ever made. I am so glad I converted even though this clear liquid stage is HARD mentally. It’s funny because I am drinking my Water now expecting it to get stuck lol I guess that’s why the small sips are easy, and being hungry is easy so I guess we can thank the lapband for that and appreciate the ease of our new stomachs!

  6. I have been open to everyone in my family, at my work, my friends and all the louder you say it the sooner it will be a reality! I hid my lapband surgery from just about everyone and it was difficult having to get up from a restaurant multiple times on one sitting to throw up food I wasn’t suppose to be eating due to embarrassment....

be be proud that you are willing to fight for your life, don’t let judgement affect your outcome! Your family will support you and you will feel great knowing that you are finally on your way to the weight loss you’ve always dreamed about!

The change needs to come from you, start eating smarter now and be commited to the new life you are choosing, will make the investment worth it!

    Good luck

hi. just got sleeved on the 2nd. first time on website.

wondering how people are keeping up with the Water and Protein? I just get full rather quickly. any helpful tips appreciated?

It’s a slow slow process keep sipping and you get there, keep the Water close at all times to keep it going down.

Hi everybody, I just had my sleeve surgery three days ago on April 4. Recovery has been pretty good so far - only one night in the hospital and not much gas pain. Oddly, I'm 2 pounds heavier than on the morning of surgery, but I'm attributing that to the tons of IV fluids I got in the hospital so I'm not too worried. I'm trying to keep well-hydrated and am allowed to start diluted Protein Shakes today. Yippee.

Lucky you they want me on clears for 7-10days no Protein of any kind yet.

Personal question but how long after surgery before anyone gets #2 out again? I haven’t had any urges to go besides some gas and wondering if this is normal?

I am down 10lbs since surgery average weight loss -3lbs per day I think I am putting down 350-400 calories in the day.

yes they told us in the hospital before we left that we could add in some Protein Water, only getting in the 20g but thats a bonus since i wasnt expecting that til second week.are u adhering to the driving for 1 wk?

No I am driving myself already, Probably not advised but I don't like to be dependent on others.

its a Risk but to each there own I guess.

I had half of a Jello yesterday, ate it a little too fast so was uncomfortable for a few mins.

Ive been drinking my 20oz Vitamin Water since 11am and am 3 oz away from finishing it What a milestone lol

Promised myself I wouldn't cheat the process so sticking to the post op diet haven't had any cravings and choosing to go for a walk during dinner time to avoid to temptation.

Will do brother, I was on the ropes for a while about getting it done since I had previously paid for Lapband surgery in 2012 and although I enjoyed the weight loss I HATED the band... The other day was my daughters first daddy daughter dance and I was one of the biggest dads there she doesn't mind it but it bothered me enough to to take the steps to make this Drastic change. Tying my shoes, cutting my toenails and other personal aspects in my life were starting to become affected by my weight so I figured it was the right time and got a good deal on the surgery and financing. The Rest will be history I hope you get your surgery start getting your mind ready as this game is won there.

  11. Had my surgery on April 4th, found this community today.

Preop diet was hard mentally did have a Cheat day one week prior to surgery BEER and Wings had to say goodbye lol..

Managed to lose 11lbs pre op Protein Shakes for Breakfast and lunch, dinner was usually Soup or 3 ounces of chicken and a small bowl of black Beans.

Starting weight was 330lbs surgery date was 319lbs today I am at 313lbs looking forward to seeing the weight melt away and hitting the gym to help out.

My surgery was 1 hour 30 mins long since I had to remove my lapband, I was up and walking an hour later and checked myself out an hour after that.

Drinking fluids is a New experience as its very sensitive, so take small sips and stick to it you'll know how much you can swallow before feeling this cramp. its gotten better today 48hours post op.

Took a few percocets for pain at night first night and second day today I am feeling great (still sore) but more normal and drove myself to work to get some paperwork done I know I know but I am a rebel and rules are for other people...

Hope to contribute however possible to the board. Good luck to future sleevers and lets kick some ass with our new tools.

  12. Just had my revision April 4th 2018

Had Lapband surgery in 2012 lost 75lbs with it and found them again over 6 years. Decided it was time to get it removed as I couldn’t take the stuck sensation Any longer!

Starting weight March 19th was 330 stuck to a liquid diet for Breakfast lunch and a light dinner (chicken/beans) lost 11 lbs before surgery on 4/4/18. Since surgery I am down 6 lbs sticking to my clear Fluid diet and learning how to deal with the new stomach over the last 48hours.

-17lbs into my weight loss journey
