Hope the surgery goes smoothly and you have a speedy recovery!

Body fat?
Don't fret too soon. The body-fat measurements are notoriously inaccurate.

Wow, that's terrible. I hope they figure out the problem soon.

Stressed and WAITING!!!!
Do your nutritionist visits need to be monthly or something? Ask them if they can fit you in if they get a cancellation or something?

Post op and bored
You're one of the lucky ones, to have all that energy. I was exhausted and slept most of the time.

Prayers requested and gratefully accepted
Sending prayers your way! What type of work do you want to do?

Prayers requested and gratefully accepted
It has been mentioned by several posters that if we don't know a person's belief system, it is inappropriate and offensive to offer prayers of support. So, to respect each other's preferences, I'd like to start this thread for people who would like others to pray for them when they're having difficulty. Please add your prayer requests to the thread and we can be supportive to one another. If your request is personal, just ask us to pray for your intentions. We can support you without the details. I'll go first I would appreciate your prayers regarding my messed-up esophagus and severe acid reflux, in the hopes that they can make my insides work without a conversion to bypass. I really don't want another surgery. Thanks!

Anyone else have problems eating eggs?
30 minutes per bite! Wow, you're an overachiever!

Enough??
Fingers, toes, whatever - I'm rooting for you, girl!

How do you take pills that need to be taken with food?
I take them immediately before meals with just a sip of water. Then I eat before the pills have the opportunity to tear up my stomach. But, if there's a better way, I'd love to hear it!

Enough??
Wow, Ash. I just noticed your stats! Wow! You are doing amazing!

Nausea
By any chance have you recently discontinued antacids? Acid and nausea feel very similar.

New to Bariatric site
No, I think it's when people post an emoji that isn't supported by the system, so it doesn't know how to "translate" it into an image. Welcome to the site! It's a very supportive and friendly community!

If you could close one fast food chain
If I were to close a fast food chain, it wouldn't be because the food was disgusting. It would be the one that tempts me most! Popeye's Chicken - 'cause it's all about me, don'tcha know! Spicy fried chicken and red beans & rice, yikes!

Two Days Post Op
I'm sorry you're in so much pain, but getting liquids in is vital. If sipping isn't working for you right now, try sugar-free popsicles. Since the liquid goes down in such minute quantities, they might be easier for your tummy to handle. Hope this helps!

Anyone else have problems eating eggs?
Don't get too concerned yet, you're not quite 4 weeks out. You may just need a little more time. Maybe try just egg whites since they're a bit "slipperier" than the yolks.

1 week po... Dilation & IV fluids anyone?
I'm so sorry that you're having such difficulties. I'm sure someone here will know about dilating an esophagus. As far as work goes, is this company large enough to have an HR department? If so, that is who you should deal with, not your boss. They are supposed to keep everything confidential (I know, no guarantees) and they could just tell your boss "complications" rather than details. Hope this helps. (hugs)

Motherf&*^%$
Other than the liquid phase, which sucks, a lot of this will be easier post-op. Right now, your stomach is hungry. It has room for more food, it wants more food, and you know that if you cheat, there won't be dumping involved. Afterward, especially if you're not a boundary-pusher (I'm not - the whole Catholic school thing) it's much easier, imho, to tell yourself that you can't eat something. Right now, you know that you can, but shouldn't, and that's hard. July is just NEXT MONTH, my friend! You've withstood far more difficult times than this!

3 months post op success
That is fantastic! Congrats!

Sleeve revision
Thanks, Matt. My surgeon has already broached the subject of a revision due to reflux. He'll decide in a couple months, after I hit the 6 month mark on my sleeve. I had been wondering about all the pre-op stuff.

Protein Vitamins instead of shakes?
When you bake with it, do you replace part of the flour with PP or do you just add it in to the batter? Hopefully, some day, I'll be able to eat baked goods!

Question.
I had to be cleared by a cardiologist because of family history. I'm happy to report that there were no problems. Although, they thought I had a blockage and cancelled my surgery until they could do a heart cath. I rescheduled my surgery 3 weeks later. Didn't need to see a pulmonologist, but probably would have if I'd been a smoker.

Motherf&*^%$
Gee, tell us how you really feel! Sorry, I understand how frustrating and infuriating this must be. I can't weigh every day, I'd go nuts and it's not a particularly long leap to get there. Hope the scale smiles on you soon (hugs)

How's everyone doing?
Hey, Matt! Good to see you back! I'm glad you're doing better. When do you start driving? I'm doing fine. Still on soft foods but I've lost 67 pounds so far. Less than 5 pounds til One-derland! Don't be a stranger!

3 wks post- food getting stuck
So sorry to hear this. Could you swallow a pill that size before?
