Why so slow???
Thank you. By nature I much prefer fruits/veggies to meat so this kind of diet really appeals to me. And it's much less to think about!

Why so slow???
Off topic - but - Yours is the first post I've seen of anyone relying totally on protein drinks for their protein. May I ask why? I was afraid that I was depending too heavily on supplements, but you seem to be doing fine.

Last visit with surgron pre-WLS
I started vitamins before surgery. You don't want to start off deficient and then maybe not be able to take any for a while to due nausea. Good luck!

Cancer
That's really interesting. Thank you for sharing!

I have a desk job and getting a sleeve
I'm an accountant. I took off one week, worked one week of 1/2 days and then back to full time. Problem is, how fast you heal varies for everyone. Good luck with your surgery!

5 1/2 months out
Wow, amazing transformation. Glad that you're feeling so good, too! Did you lose all that weight since the surgery? p.s. Love the photo filter!

Think milk is giving me an upset tummy
I was thinking of powders.

Think milk is giving me an upset tummy
Lactose intolerance post surgery is not uncommon. Do you have lactose-free milk available? Or almond or coconut milk? They don't have as much protein, but you could add a protein supplement to them.

Serving Sizes Post Surgery
That sounds about right (size-wise) for someone 1 month post-op. Although we were told to eat mostly protein, plus maybe 1-2 broccoli florets to make up the 1/4 cup. Not half and half.

Surgiversary!
Awesome, congrats!

Before and after pics two months out
Wow! Very impressive!

so freaking hungry
Sounds good! Could you post another link, please? I tried to find it in your previous posts, but was unsuccessful. Thanks!

why do i weigh more post op??
Yup, fluid retention and swelling. You drop the fluids fairly quickly once you leave the hospital, but the abdominal swelling can take as long as a month. Relax, it's all good. And congrats on your surgery!

Mr. Stinkybreath
You could try the Listerine breath strips. Or are they too hard on your new stomach?

One year post op PICS
Wow, you were beautiful to begin with and now you're stunning! AND rocking a bikini! Congrats!

Cranberry juice
Did you drink it plain or with some artificial sweetener? You might like to try some of the flavored teas like raspberry or cinnamon-apple. They are very nice with a little sweetener and you can drink them hot or cold.

Cranberry juice
Then sugar-free cranberry juice should be ok, but start with a small amount. It may be too acidic in the beginning.

Food Funerals?~ protein shake recommendations
Good luck with your coming surgery! My advice on stages 1 and 2 is stock up on variety. Different types/flavors of shakes (Premier Protein are my fave), decaf coffee/tea if you drink them, several different broths, a few different flavorings for water, some skim or low-fat milk, sugar-free jello, etc. You are going to get bored, believe me. This will enable you to mix it up some.

Cranberry juice
Most cranberry juice has a lot of added sugar to it. What does your diet plan say? All my liquids had to be sugar-free.

Have you talked with the surgeon's team? Pain in that area could be from a leak, although that's not terribly likely since you're not running a fever or feeling ill, otherwise. Hope you feel better soon.
