  1. So excited for you!! Are they monitoring yor levels closely, or no? My doc is every 3 months, but I feel like my levels fluctuate wayyy more than that!! Keep us posted on how it goes, as I still dont have a surgery date but hoping for June. My Endoscopy is the 10th of May...hoping for no surprises as I have had gastritis and ulcers in the past. Good luck on your journey.
  2. Well I would be too if I had a no gain requirement hanging over my head! The entire thing is already stressful enough without that! You can do it though! [emoji1377][emoji1377]
  3. Thank you! [emoji173]️
  4. Haha, I just turned 43 so I know how that feels but we are supposed to feel great after we get through this surgery!! [emoji1373]
  5. It's Non-synthetic. It's actually Pig Thyroid, sounds kind of ick - but it isnt any different than another pill. From what I understand my Thyroid is non-productive, so he (My Doc) is just replacing what I cannot make. It's supposed to be lifelong. Maybe your Thyroid situation is a bit different, or you're too young or something? Not sure.
  6. My doctor went straight to Armour Thyroid. It took well into a year though and I still have bad days where I'm just a zombie in pajamas. ??‍♀️
  7. Congrats! It's nice to read positive stuff! Makes me less anxious.
  8. Oh no [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33] The Doc has to do something else, maybe diff meds?
  9. Beyond Amazing!! I seem to have cycles of feeling human and then complete exhaustion. It's the worst. You'd think after a year on meds it would have evened-out a bit, but nope...every say is still unpredicatable. I did add Selenium to my supplements and that seems to minorly help.
  10. Almost there! Thankfully my insurance does not require a 6 month monitored weight loss requirement. I'm just hoping after surgery the Hashimoto's will calm itself. [emoji20]
  11. Exactly!! And Hashimoto's is Brutal on Weight, I gained 70lbs in 8 months! When is your surgery date?
  12. Wow, your insurance needs a lesson on Hashimoto's!! Hang in there!
  13. Perspective is everything these days. Unfortunately people only see life through their own perspective! Even when 2 people walk the same path, their experiences will be different because each person is an individual - with individual ideas, dreams, hopes, struggles, pains, etc. Including why and how some of us are "overweight" or "underweight". Sadly, people have forgotten to be kind and respect that individualism.
  14. This is Awesome!! I can use the ideas and your plates look great! Following. [emoji4]
  15. I have Hashimoto's and it is impossible to lose weight BUT thankful I finally stopped gaining! Also hoping that the surgery will reset everything and that I will lose weight!
  16. Congratulations!! Fantastic!! What an inspiration to me. [emoji173]️
  17. Tentatively, I will have a June surgery, but not 100% yet. I have to pass my Psych Eval & my Endoscopy. Surgeon said if all of that is a-okay, then it'll be June.
  18. Prayers for a speedy recovery [emoji173]️
  19. Congratulations!! [emoji322][emoji322]
  20. As long as my Psych Eval and Endoscopy go without a hitch it looks like I will have a June surgery. Mixed emotions of course!
  21. Congrats on the surgery! Hope it is going well. I'm a bit leery of the pain. [emoji33] My surgery is on June. Cookie N Cream sounds too good to be true!
  22. Thanks! I'm going to try them ALL. [emoji6] I have no idea what "keto" means, so I'm probably not it. ?
  23. I tried these for the first time, because I figured I had better get used to them before surgery, and they're disgusting! What else did you use to get in your protein right after surgery? I was told 2 of these Myo's and 64 oz of Fluids. Now I'm unsure of being able to get enough protein in as I cannot stomach them now. Any advice?
  24. Good Luck! Prayers your way!
