  1. Well my doctor's office really screwed me over. Come to find out they submitted for approval "by accident" in April and it was denied because I hadn't even completed all of the steps.
Although I've spoken to insurance and they assured me they could just resubmit this week, now they've said we have to wait 40 more days.
At this point I'm just going to appeal and submit all of my documents with the appeal letter. My surgical coordinator is very negative and she's insisting that we shouldn't even try to appeal and just wait until May, to resubmit. I told her that would mean I have to do 50% of the stuff all over again. She thinks that's the better idea and says she knew it would get denied regardless.

I'm so sorry this happeningfor you. This seems extremely frustrating. Hopefully it will work out for the better.

  2. Is there any 5 foot tall female who got the sleeve done? I am 5 foot fall and weigh 203 lb. most people see me and they say I do not need to get sleeved but, the BMI charts say other wise. I have not seen anyone at my height or my weight go into the surgery. So I’m wondering if there is anyone out there. Also I hear normally we (short 200lb) wouldn’t loose weight as fast and as much as everyone else does. Not sure why or is this true?? I have surgery on Thursday and All these questions are coming to mind.

Thanks for this, I'm 4"11 and have been wondering the same thing. I'm at 272 so my BMI is 55. So yeah, definitely not in a healthy range though people don't see it. I'm ok with losing slower though. Hopefully, it will give my skin some time to adjust....

I like the Isopure zero carb Apple Melon, that said these clear Protein Drinks aren't usually ideal immediately post surgery, because they are really hard to concentrate (i.e. make into a 4oz drink with the amount of Protein that usually goes into an 8oz drink). They are also hard to fortify with extra Protein from milk (I recommend the fairlife fat free because it will give you more protein).

Makes sense. I just know how my stomach feels when I have lactose now so don't want to risk milk or anything. But, I'll try a few things out.
