Remember ,you have put your body through a lot. It is spending a lot of time trying to figure out what the hell you did to it. You will start to lose again. Give it time to sort out what is going on.

Make sure to eat slowly. Put your fork down in between bites. You can easily over-eat if you do it too fast. Your brain needs time to talk to your stomach to tell it that you are full.

I had a gastric sleeve 6 weeks ago. Please don't let what happens to others scare you. You will be fine! Good luck on the journey!

My surgery was done 6 weeks ago. It was done with a scope. I had 6 small incisions which are healed now. The stapled stomach inside takes 6 weeks to heal. Please don't worry. It will be fine. Try not to over-think things.

I had my sleeve done February 26th in Eugene by Dr. MacColl.

What I found with my surgery is the more I walked the less pain I had. It was the air they filled me with that hurt worse than the incisions. As soon as I walked and passed all that , it was a breeze. I also have a high pain tolerance though. Each person is different.

I told everyone. I made this decision, I am proud of it and I own it. If I am asked why, I tell them I didn't want to die too young from weight related health issues. I figure they will talk behind my back anyway so it just as well be about my weight loss. hahaha!
I was surprised actually how supportive everyone was and still is. Whether to tell anyone or not is totally a personal choice. You owe nothing to anyone.

I am going to a support group once a week. It has helped me a lot to keep things in perspective. Every one who is a year or more out tell me " Don't take that first bite of sugar" You need to just quit eating it. The cravings will stop.

I have been told that butter lettuce is easier to digest than Iceberg. I had no clue there was a difference in lettuce.

You are grieving ! It is a part of the process. Hang in there! Come here to vent! Better than turning to food which is what a lot of us would have done in the past.

I almost cried for you! How awesome for you! I am so proud of you and you are an inspiration. Hope I will be as successful.

I haven't been able to warm up since my surgery. Is that a normal thing? Everything else is great! I am a month out from surgery. Is it my metabolism changing or something? Thanks!

I had my sleeve done exactly 1 month ago from yesterday. I am lucky if I can get 500 calories in. I have to rely on Protein Shakes to get my required amount. For me, I noticed that only moist foods go down well. Anything else kind of hurts going down and then I feel like it lays there like a rock. I always eat slow and I stop before I get that full feeling. I can't stand that feeling. I spread my Vitamins out through the day so I don't have to take so many at once.
Just left hospital...
