I had sleeve surgery on April 4, and the doctor prescribed Ursodiol (actigall) to start when I graduated to soft foods (2 weeks ago). They said that because stones are so common with rapid weight loss, that this would be a prophylactic for stones. I hope it works!

My surgery was on 4/4 and my voice was definitely strained, but it got better a few days ago. Good luck!

Hey Gang,
I was sleeved a week ago on April 4. Everything is going well and I'm back at work today - although still on thin liquids for another week. I'm down about 11 pounds from surgery date and my 1-week post-op checkup was a breeze.
I have a question about capacity. I've read that it should take an hour to drink an 11-oz Protein Shake (Premier Protein undiluted).
For me, not so much. I find that I can drink it in 10 to 15 minutes with no discomfort as long as I take smallish sips. I'm wondering is this just a thing, or is it something to be concerned about? The only discomfort comes when I take too big a swallow and then 10 seconds later comes the pain that is my stomach saying "Yikes - take it easy up there!"
What are your thoughts and experiences, oh Early April Sleevers?

9 minutes ago, Adrian Sosa said:It’s a slow slow process keep sipping and you get there, keep the Water close at all times to keep it going down.
Yesterday I had the same issue couldn’t get thin crust pizza out of my mind lol when I have moments of weakness I stand on the scale and drink my Water and enjoy seeing that number go down!
Stay strong and stay focused!
Lucky you they want me on clears for 7-10days no Protein of any kind yet.
Personal question but how long after surgery before anyone gets #2 out again? I haven’t had any urges to go besides some gas and wondering if this is normal?
I am down 10lbs since surgery average weight loss -3lbs per day I think I am putting down 350-400 calories in the day.
Nothing yet in the bathroom department either. I had terrible Constipation on the pre-op liquid diet, so I've been mixing in Miralax at every opportunity, but still nothing. I assume that once I start putting something other than water, Propel, or boullion in me, things will start moving. Congrats on the 10lb drop. I'm a little disappointed that I'm up from surgery day, but that will change I'm sure.

Hi everybody, I just had my sleeve surgery three days ago on April 4. Recovery has been pretty good so far - only one night in the hospital and not much gas pain. Oddly, I'm 2 pounds heavier than on the morning of surgery, but I'm attributing that to the tons of IV fluids I got in the hospital so I'm not too worried. I'm trying to keep well-hydrated and am allowed to start diluted Protein Shakes today. Yippee.

Searing lower abdominal pain on stretching or bending. Anyone else?

Hey gang,
I'm 2 months post-gastric sleeve and everything is going well. My recovery was uneventful, with minimal incision pain.
A few days ago, I noticed (how could I not?) a burning, tearing pain 3 to 4 inches below any of the incisions when I bend over sharply, or stretch. It's definitely muscular, and since I'm not really exercising yet (some orthopedic issues) it's not due to over-exertion. It's pretty much central or a little bit to the right.
Before I call the doctor and go through the rigamarole of taking off from work, has anybody else experienced this, and if so what gives?!
Thanks!!
