Gah how do you deal with the wait?!? I hate waiting. Patience is my least favorite virtue, and I've neglected it quite wonderfully. But 1 week away is fantastic! What are you doing to distract yourself? Are you on a liquid preop?
I know the pain of the gas too having had my gallbladder out, that stuff is brutal!
I stay busy cleaning my house. Visiting my mom down the road....work & family life keep my brain occupied. Someone from the outside looking in, would have NO idea I was having a major life changing operation coming up.
I start liquid Friday. Only a 3 day pre op requirement for my doctor that I am thankful for. 1200 calorie diet until then. Still downing 64+ oz Water daily.

I have one week to go until my surgery. The count down is REALLY on. I couldn’t be more excited about this change in my life.
I do have some nervous feelings, as expected l, but I believe this is the right thing to do. I am going into surgery with one of my very best friends. I will have the best support from her!
Having had surgery on my uterus l, I know the gas pain is going to be the worst part of this but I am ready to conquer it! WALK WALK WALK.
I hope everyone is doing well and for those of you waiting, your day will come!!

I, too, drink better with a straw. I’m still pre-op, but I heard this, too. I’m guessing because of the little bit of extra air you take on with a straw. I’ve been practicing with sips and making my mark pre-op. We will see how it goes. *one week*

Reflux Feeling

Hey everyone. I am 3 days post op. I have been meeting my Water goals and slowing incorporating pudding Jello and applesauce into my diet along with Premier Protein. Even with waters, I get that terrible feeling that it is coming back up or it’s stuck...it passes in 3-5 seconds. I’m curious on how long this phase lasts. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
