This is 1 month post op vs 14 months post op VSG. I couldn't be happier with my tool.

6 months post op and I am struggling to lose more than about a pound a week if I am lucky. It's frustrating but really puts into focus how hard weekends can be to manage. which was my problem before surgery as well.

Follow the docs recommendation and restrictions, and talk to your HR so they can set up a light duty reasonable accommodation if they have a program in place.

I had to get a prescription bc it turned out I was allergic to the adhesive on the suture glue. It was horrible!!

Does anyone else have significant light headed spells when they stand up? My blood pressure drops when I stand and it's very disconcerting. I talked to my office but they were stumped. It's worse when I take a bath but that's expected in hot Water.

There are some great vegan Protein Shakes that only require a little bit of doctoring to make them yummy. Ripple, Vega, and tone it up are pretty good. They do need some boosting from the sugar free Torani flavors.Still okay, I love your store and am grateful for the choices you offer# You'll remain # 1 in my book! Decided to steer.clear for a while from the others,Muscle Milk strawberry made me" uber'sick" Tuesday! If my gut settles down maybe I'll be brave enough to go,back to your powdered and regular shakes. sHot to take care of me if I want to be a success!

Y'all, I found out the crappy way that I have an allergy to the incision glue, my stomach is a riot of itchy hives that I am using hydrocortisone and taking Zyrtec (Doctors orders). It sucks so much. Additional skin issues are happened all over my face and shoulders, I feel like a teenager with all this acne! Wtf is going on? Is this hormones being released from fat loss? I'm a week post vsg. Suggestions? I've been drinking plenty of Water and doing relatively ok on Protein.

They asked me to lose 5 and I lost 9 and am still going down. Might lose another 1-2lbs before the my surgery date on the 22nd.

Im very fortunate, they aren't making me do a pre-op liquid diet because I lost enough weight already they are fine with just liquids the day before surgery only. but starting to get nervous and trying to tell the negative voices in my head to back off.

Did they accept your referral check up as your first weigh in or only the stuff labeled specifically as weigh ins with your surgeon?
-
Did they accept your visit to your primary care doctor when the referral for a surgeon was given as your first weigh in? I've heard yes and no on this and I have anthem so I'm very curious. It would save me a month of waiting and anticipation.

I have a deficiency in D3 and have a prescription for it. What I would like to know if I should start taking the daily multi Vitamin, B complex, and calcium citrate before my surgery?

Take this time to address your anxiety. Therapists, meditation, articles, books, possibly medication.
Your profile says you life in California, like I do. Marijuana is legal here & has helped with my anxiety & PTSD tremendously. I don't want to make this a post about pot - I'm just pointing out you have options.
Good luck. You are not alone.
Thank you, yeah I'm trying to read some meditations books to calm down. I can't do pot, I have a weird genetic thing that makes me react very poorly to cabinoids, which I found out the hard way lolol. I need to learn patience and accept that I can't control this situation. -
How did/do you deal with the 6 months of waiting and weigh in? Its sending my anxiety through the roof. I usually sorry myself by planning and researching it preparing. But I can't lose weight or I don't qualify. I already scheduled all of my tests and appointments so now I'm just here... Spinning wheel and feeling anxious that I won't be approved, that i won't be successful.l, that I'll fail. How to do I handle 5 more months of this?

Can you link me a to a product please? So I don't have to strip my hair first? Just apply the toned conditioner to make it more silvery? [emoji3] I remember my sweet little grandmother had beautiful hair and she applied a rinse that was bright purple. It didn't make her hair purple or blue, but it was a beautiful silver as I recall. I look like her and our coloring is similar!
Here is one but there are a ton of brands.

So I had my first consult today, and they weighed me. I was just under 40 (39.6) bmi but I do have a comorbidity so they said I was ok. But what I want to know is, Which weigh in counts bc my first official weigh in is tomorrow. Does the insurance look at the consultation weight and the weigh in weight? I ask bc I'm worried they will say my sleep apnea isn't severe enough to clear me even though I have a CPAP.

Not bad. They gave us lots of good information and showed us what the Surgery looked like. I was shocked they contacted me the next day to set up the nut class and the 1st meeting with the surgeon. How about you?
