I lost 18#s in the first month, but now I am also in a stall. Its been 8 days and I am up 0.2 lbs from the start, bouncing around the 198's.
I started Phase 4 of my diet yesterday, with no more Protein Shakes (unless I need a few grams of Protein to meet my daily target).
When did you have your sleeve done? I physically can’t eat 60g of protein at a minimum unless I eat all at long. I still need my protein shakes.

How much are you down? I’ve been at a stall for 2 weeks. I’m doing everything right, and it’s pissing me off!! Getting 10k-12k steps a day too!!

I’m only a month out, however my doctor said that if I get 60 grams of Protein and take my Vitamins I won’t have much Hair loss. I see that everyone’s Vitamin regimen is different.
I take...
2 flinestones a day.
500 B12
Iron 325mg
Calcium plus Vitamin D 600&800 twice a day
Vitamin C 500
Biotin 5000

Hi kaleia! I had this too! food feels like rocks going down my throat. LOL Well, I am 4 weeks post op and I'll be happy to report that it does get better! I'm on the "soft foods" stage now and I haven't noticed it as much anymore.
How much are you eating at a time?

Kaleia how are your urinary problems doing? Are you feeling any better? Did you go to the doctor or ER? [emoji14][emoji29]

Yes. She said it was most likely from dehydration. I had no Protein when I went to my pcp

I will be 3 weeks post op on Thursday. Anytime I eat anything I can literally feel it go into my stomach. Like it’s a tight squeeze getting through. It’s not painful..... but it is uncomfortable. Will it be like this for the rest of my life, or will this feeling eventually go away? It’s so annoying!!

So I’m 18 days post op, and haven’t lost weight in a week. I’m eating 1/4 cup of cottage cheese, 2 Protein Shakes a day and getting 64 oz ow liquids in a day. Is this common???

Protein Shakes are too sweet. I loved them the first week and hate them now. I bought GENEPRO and can mix it in anything, however after researching online, it says there was a lawsuit in which they lost because of their false labeling of calories and Protein amount.
Does anyone else use this? The info I found wasn’t from credible sources, so I don’t want to not use it.
Has anyone used this and see their protein levels tank??

It pushes your food through your “new” stomach much faster and puts you at risk for dumping syndrome. I took my chances one time and regret it. Dumping is NO JOKE

I'm not an expert but my understanding is that high levels of Protein in your urine are a sign of dehydration. Being that you were testing to check your hydration I would take it as confirmation that you probably aren't getting enough fluids. Are you getting the 64oz+ a day you should be at this point?
Yes. I’m drinking close to 70 a day. My spec grav was normal. I sent a message to my doc.

I’m 16 days post op. Had my surgery 3/8. I randomly dipped my urine to make sure I was hydrated, and I had Protein in my urine. Is this normal? I know it’s expected to have high ketones, but wasn’t sure if protein was expected, as well.
I’ve been a nurse , but work with children and I don’t know much about adults.

I’m 16 days post op but finding it very difficult to get my Protein AND liquids in. I’ve been living off cottage cheese and can do 1/4 cup at a time. I used to LOVE the Protein Shakes the first week and now I can’t stand them. They are too sweet. I bought GENEPRO and that’s helping a lot. Can you give me examples of what you eat and drink?

Has anyone had this surgery and NOT told friends or family? I got sleeved 3/8 and have told 2 best friends. They both have gotten the surgery done 3 years ago. Every time I would bring up the topic of Bariatric surgery I would get the negative comments of “thats the easy way out” and “just exercise”. I don’t wanna hear anyone’s mouth. I’m not embarrassed about the surgery at all. I just don’t have many supportive people in my family.

Do you burp or get any mid epigastric pain after sips?
-
Hi everyone! I was sleeved last Thursday, 3/8/18. Doing well with pain. I can get at least 48 oz in a day, however every time I drink I get mid epigastric pain and I either burp or hiccup after. Is this normal?? How long does it last? Is it because of the surgical swelling?
Anyone NOT lose their hair?

My doc told me If I get a minimum of 60g of Protein in a day and take my daily Vitamin regimen, that I won’t experience Hair loss. Is this true??
