  1. Hello and happy Friday!!!

My surgery was 3/19/18... went pretty smoothly but when I woke up from anesthesia my back was so seized up.... it was just so painful...while in the hospital nurses said it was gas and to walk. So I walked all damn day.... still nothing. Then they say it’s the bed, or you been in surgery too long.... none of the above. It is3/23/18 and no relief. Anybody ever go through this or have any advice

  2. My surgeon was in Houston too. I had the bypass. Trust me, I felt all the emotions you are feeling. I even went so far as to contact my surgeon's nurse and cancel the surgery, then called back. She told me this was very normal, the nervousness of it and most of all I was worried about failing since I failed at every diet I ever did, plus I had a lapband and had it removed. But you will get through it and will do fine. Good luck.

Wow... thanks so much.... you totally understand how I’m feeling. Thank so much.

  3. Grats you got real lucky. look at it instead as 1 less week you will stress over your surgery and 1 week sooner you will be on your way to a new life.
dont worry about the lost week on the liquid diet that varies hugely from doctor to doctor.
good luck and come back and update everyone on your progress

Great way of looking at it... feeling better already... thank so much!

  4. So I’m here at the post op appointment. A little anxious. I just read all of the risk in surgery and kind of freaking out a bit... but still going through it. My surgery got moved 3/19 instead of 3/26. My liquid diet will only be one week instead of two.... I’m just thinking... will I be okay? Will this journey be successful? Did anybody go through this?

  5. @Irwnewlady Sounds like you’re doing great so far. This may sound ridiculous but I completed jigsaw puzzles. My husband and daughter ate normally so food was always around. To maintain focus on pre-op and post-op, I would avoid thinking about food by working on some puzzles. It worked wonders! It was great for my brain and I didn’t cheat once. By the way, you are gorgeous! [emoji254]

Wow that is great advice and totally appreciate it.... thank you so much for the compliment.... you made my day!!![emoji847]

  6. Keep busy, clean the house, do yard work, read the forums, go for long walks, go swimming, ask family and friends to support (if they know). Go clothes shopping, just looking and imagine being in them.... You will do fine [emoji4]
Congrats on the surgery date !

Great Advice!!! Thanks so much and Thank you got you encouragement
