Fairlife milk has more protein than regular milk. I'd suggest keeping your sugars as low as possible. Its a wonderful journey that you're on with all of us here cheering you on!

I get sleeved in a week

I'm eight days post op....sitting on my porch this morning sipping on my caramel Premiere shake. I have all the flavors and can't decide which is my favorite. I've been drinking them consistently for the past four months and they're the best that I found.
  10. For me, my pre op and post op liquid diet were the same. Trust me, after surgery you will not be thinking about eating...at least I haven't. You will have new concerns: gas, walking, etc. I'm eight days post op and feeling better each day. Pre op is mentally challenging which prepares you for post op. Its not easy but its worth it! Hang in there and I'll see you on the loser's bench! [emoji6]
  11. Which is better...Premiere or Pure Protein?

    Protein drinks

I was sleeved on April 25 and I came home on full liquid diet... including shakes, soups, etc.
  15. I'm one week post op and feeling pretty damn good! Five hours after surgery, me and my IV pole were walking around those hospital floors like there was no tomorrow. The only problem I'm having is gas... when I feel it coming, I get up and walk. Im able to get my protein in and those Popsicles have become my best friend. You can do this and all of us are here to help you!
  16. Trust me, I really wanted to but again, its all mental
  17. My first five days were a breeze. My sons stopped by for a visit and brought fried chicken and fries; at work there were doughnuts, cookies, cakes and every commercial was related to food. 🤤 I never felt sick because I kept telling myself too think of the outcome. One day I was tempted, I grabbed a bottle of water and took a two mile walk. It helps to divert your focus.
  18. And we'll be right here to listen and motivate you! You got this!
  19. Awesome! The struggle is worth it!
  20. Think of it this way. Is it worth possibly sabotaging your surgery by giving in to your food cravings? This helped me even though I wasn't as hungry during my pre op liquid phase, I just couldn't imagine them not being able to perform surgery because I didn't follow the diet. What you're experiencing is totally natural
  21. Also the pre op liquid diet prepares you for post op. I'm one week post op and feeling great. Looking forward to this new journey.
