  1. Yay! I love how many responses we're getting!

A lot of these are so relateable--MrsGamgee I too am so excited to have cute fandom tees that actually fit me!

I have cute AF clothes from eShakti, Modcloth, and Torrid, but I am very excited to be able to shop in stores. Seriously eff Lane Bryant.

Hiking, cross-country skiing, just enjoying the outdoors is so big for me--I live in Colorado and I can't wait to really experience our beautiful state more.

  3. I am still pre-op but I have had four abdominal surgeries (two open and two laparascopic) and I actually woke up during one of them (they ripped out my IV when transferring to recovery bed). I am not saying this to scare you at all but to reassure you that you will be OK! Waking up was my worst nightmare but I lived through it, I've lived through four surgeries without excessive trauma and I'm now going in for a 5th.

Try not to be scared, and if you can't help it, just sit with your scared thoughts a little bit and be gentle with yourself. Screw what your family says. You've made this choice for a good reason and you won't regret it, based on every single person I've talked to or heard from. YOU CAN DO IT! <3 <3 <3

My husband and I went to a big con last year for our 10th anniversary (Calgary Fan Expo). It was a great experience but it was also the experience that got me truly on board for this WLS journey. I was in agony from standing in lines for stuff... 2.5 hours in line to get Nathan Fillion's autograph almost broke me. I won't go to another con until after I lose some serious weight.

I feel you, I went to Walker Stalker Con the year before last and I could barely hang around to enjoy it. I waited in line long enough to get Josh McDermitt's autograph, circled around the place once, and then I had to bolt.

Oh my... I had not thought of that... I will now have yet another reason to stress myself out... My partner got me a specific type of ring that's said to help people that have anxiety issues. It can't be sized...

Oh hon it'll be worth it! She'll get you another lovely ring to wear once you're there. <3

I look forward to the day I take my rings in to have them sized down. I've always used how my rings fit as a gauge for where I'm at weight-wise. When they're falling off I'll know I've made progress.

Yeah me too! I'm always playing with my rings to gauge my weight. When they're falling off I'll put them away for a while, get a cheapie ring from Kohl's to wear in place of my wedding ring until I'm at a stable weight and know my ring size.

I'm really looking forward to donating clothes. Whenever I lost weight I'd be too paranoid to throw out the bigger sizes, even though when I did regain the clothes weren't fashionable anymore. So now I want to try things on, realize they're too big, and place them directly in the donation bin rather than saving them just in case. That also means I won't have to deal with the morning ritual of trying on everything in my closet to try and find the one combo that's event-appropriate and also fits, leaving a pile of clothing in my wake.

Me TOO! And thrifting, like I said, LOL I'll bring in a bunch of clothes to donate and then find new ones. Can't wait!

  8. Hi all, I'm getting sleeved on 3/19 and one of the things I've been doing is compiling a list of things I'm looking forward to doing that I can't do now, to keep me motivated once I start losing. I'd love to hear the things that you're excited to do, or for those of you who are already sleeved, that you can do now! I've been over 300 since the age of 19 (I'm 40 now) so there is a lot I have never been able to do. Some examples from my list:

    -wearing boots

    -camping

-going to Disneyland (we are planning this for 2019)

    -ice skating

    -flying and driving comfortably

-shopping at thrift stores (you can never find good supersize clothes at thrift shops)

Share some of yours! Thanks in advance! :)
