  1. Wondering why this subject comes up at all. As an Atheist, you expect others to respect your beliefs or right to NOT to believe. Yet you lack any respect for their right to express theirs.
Grow up! Let go of the pettiness and open your mind.
They are simply attempting to express their well wishes. Accept it and say "Thank you." Like an adult....

  2. I am in a stall. I have lost 70 pounds (counting the 20 before surgery) I guess I am not eating enough. I was told this yesterday at the 12 week check up. I swear I am eating...... some days I just can't get anymore down. I spent last night feeling sorry for myself. New day today, new attitude. I am focusing on more substantially nutritious foods. If it is good for me, high in Protein, I will eat it. Even if I generally do not like it. My goal is to increase my calories by 20% , and increase my protein too.
    Wish me luck!

  3. I am 13 days Post Op.
I have struggled to drink enough Fluid and to consume enough Protein Drink. I am weak and tired and I have frequent headaches from not being able to meet my fluid and Protein goals.
I continue to try. I I think I need to just keep trying..... My surgeon has a support group that meets once a week and each of these people told me they struggled too. They advised me that very few meet the goals right away but to keep trying because as soon as you do you will begin to feel better and stronger. Both body and mind.
The craving and the temptations are out there, once you feel stronger of body and mind you will get past these. In the mean time try other forms of entertainment then TV. Read a book, meditate or go for short walks. Board games and video games, puzzles and MUSIC (my fav)
GOOD LUCK and keep us posted.

  4. Hi dear ones! I had surgery on the 20th (RNY) and was released for home on the 21st. I feel absolutely fantastic. Very little gas and my tummy wasn't even distended too much. They said they expelled as much as they could after surgery. The surgeon said it was an easy operation and the my liver looked pink and lovely! [emoji3] Yay me!
I'm walking and drinking and visiting with my sissy. The biggest problem is that i have to limit fluids today to only 4oz. I can drink somewhat normally. I do feel it filling up a little when I sip too fast, but I feel like and asked, "Did you really do the surgery?" LOL!
I'm up 5lbs from fluids. On the day of surgery I weighed 222.4lbs. So I'm looking forward to the scale moving! Tomorrow I start full liquids--today I'm still on clears. But it's ok. I have absolutely no desire for food. And I have ambivalence for other people's food. [emoji4] Yay!!!
Hope all the other Feb. 20th folks and the February folks in general are doing well!!!

So happy to hear about a positive experience. I am happy for you Fluffy. My surgery is next Monday the 26th. I hope for a positive experience like your own but know that everyone is different. Please keep us informed of your progress.
