  1. Yes! I regret waiting so long. It’s been a little over a year and the losing slowed to about 3 lbs a month but for the last 6 months and I’m down 100 lbs. I only throw up if I over eat so I don’t over eat. I see the same hard working people in the gym for the past and feel for their daily struggle. But because of the surgery every thing I do helps me loose weight. Good luck!

  2. I've now lost weight at my weekly weigh in 28 straight weeks dating back to well pre-surgery. I don't think I've hit a "stall" per day, but some weeks I lose less than a pound, others I lose 5-6lbs. Over the whole period since I started the 6 month pre op diet and through current, my average weekly loss is 3.34lbs.
As for calories, I'm 14 weeks post op and am getting 1200-1400 per day. I was actually at around 1000,but my nutritionist had me up it at my 12 week follow up appt.
As for workouts, I treadmill at least 30 minutes 5x per week and lift weights 3x per week.

Great to know. I was worried I was doing something wrong. It seem like I may be on track. Thanks.

  3. Today is my 3 month surgiversary. I'm down 53lbs since surgery and 141lbs total since I started the 6 month pre-op program last May.
40lbs to go to hit my goal. [emoji4]

Great news. During this time did you hit a stall? What was your exercise like and about how many cal were you averaging?

  4. I had my surgery on February 13 this year and surgery went fine. I lost about 45 pounds to date and did not have any issues. I’m trying to prevent stalling because the weight was coming off pretty regularly and now it has drastically slowed down. I burn about 700 cal a day and my energy is fine. My main issue is getting enough calories. I consume on average about 500-600 cal a day if I’m lucky. I get 90-100 g of Protein mostly from shakes. I never get hungry and forget sometimes to eat. I’m not looking to consume more food just raise my calories but I am worried about stalling. Did anyone stall because of too few calories and if so what did you do to balance it?

  5. Ugh I hated green peppers so bad b4 the surgery and now I love them, does anyone else like something now that you didn’t b4 or vice versa?

For me it is shrimp and fish. I haven’t eaten them in years. Now I crave them all the time. Also I can’t stand chicken anymore. Go figure.

  6. Hey guys... I'm 3 weeks out on mushy foods and today I went for a long walk and since I got back everything I eat or drink comes back up... It's like a thick white foam and saliva.. What did I do to myself?

I'm on my third week as well and have the same symptoms. One of the things I've noticed that helps me is eating very slow and even before I think I'm full I wait 15 minutes. It only takes three spoonfuls of whatever I'm eating to feel very uncomfortable and it feels like it's coming back up. This helped me and I hope it helps you to

  7. I am 6 weeks post op and trying solid foods but I can't hold anything down. Two teaspoons in and I'm nauseated. Any suggestions on what to try? I'm sick of Soup, applesauce and Protein shakes!

I just started my third week and to my surprise the doctor said that I could have fish. So I tried grill tilapia it has loads of Protein and very low in fat which he said it didn't matter. I am also tired of Soup and even though I love eggs I now get nauseous after the second bite and feel full. It is now a struggle to find enough protein without drinking the shakes which are not that bad to me I drink the premier and I've lost 30 pounds in two weeks. The doctor said that I need to add more protein so if you have any suggestions on other high-protein low-carb it'll be great.
