    Small Vent Session!

I totally understand. I had pushback from one person... thankfully I was able to just cut them out. They were worried that I’d be “hotter” than them... no care about my health. Got rid of them VERY quick. In the end, you need to do what’s best for you [emoji173]️ just keep letting them know how important it is to you and that their support is very vital especially in these early stages! My surgery date is April 25 so I’m happy to be a surgery buddy/support person for you
  4. I’ve been drinking the pre mixed Premier Protein for months with no issues. A few weeks ago, I tried the flavored Isopure water and it made me extremely nauseous. Now, every time I drink Premier Protein, I get the same nauseous feeling that lasts into the next day. Anyone else experience this? Not sure if it’s because I’m drinking it too fast. Will try drinking slower. I am pre-op.
  5. Congrats!! I definitely agree with Sleeve1stFitNext. My process was only 3 months but by the second month I was ready to throw in the towel lol. It seems never ending but you’ve got this! It’s all worth it in the end!!

    My BMI is just 40

I went in for my first meeting in early January so of course I was bundled up. Didn’t do so purposefully but wearing all the extra clothes made my BMI 41.5. From January to March I lost enough weight to make my BMI 39.3 but they were still fine with that and approved me. Thankfully. I have no comorbidities. My surgeon made sure to submit my “highest” weight. My insurance didn’t require the nutritionist appointments but my surgeon makes his patients attend at least 2 for their knowledge... that’s where my weightloss came into play.
  7. Congrats!!! My insurance took about a week too. It’s such a sigh of relief to get the approval
  8. My surgery date is April 25th too! Hoping time flies by
  9. Thank you so much! Trying to wait patiently
  10. My date is April 25th! So excited. I feel like the waiting game is the toughest part lol!

    Surgery in the AM

    Best of luck to you!!
  13. I just had my last pre op appointment today!! Really hoping for some good news from my insurance company. I feel like the waiting game is the hardest part! Insanely terrified that all these appointment will be for nothing if my insurance denies me. Trying to keep positive though! [emoji1488] Good luck to everyone on their journey!

Wondering when I can drink alcohol

Wow... sorry you’re getting so much judgement on here... it’s really unnecessary for people to be so rude when you’re just inquiring. I haven’t had my surgery yet, but just based on what I’ve read and watched, everyone is different. Some people have one drink 6 months out and feel it immediately. Others are 2 months out and have a drink and don’t feel it at all. When I have my surgery, I plan on at least waiting 6 to 9 months before trying but I’m not much of a drinker anyhow. Best of luck to you on your journey!
  18. Hi all, Still getting all my pre op appointments out of the way. Just curious though... I know it’s different for everyone but how much weight have you lost one year post op? Also, when did you see your weight stall in the beginning, if at all, and how long was it for? What did you do to overcome it? Interested in hearing everyone’s story.
