Scheduling some bills in advance , doing some laundry. So things will be done while I am in hospital . My Mom lives with us, shes 78 and will do too much if I let her. I will be in the hospital from Tues to Friday so going to pack my bag tomorrow. I dont have young children anymore so no meal planning. Only my youngest still lives at home and goes to Georgia Southern University which starts the day of my surgery. Shes becoming a science teacher for HS. Husband is in the US Army. Thats my story...

If your is losing any amount of weight your not in a stall. A stall in NO weight loss for 2 or 3 weeks.

Just finished my preop appt, my surgery is Tuesday. Everything is done and ready to go. They said they will keep me until Friday. Thats their norm so to pack accordingly. Think I have that part down. So just have to wait to 2pm Monday to call for report time. They have you come in 2 to 3 hrs prior. Not sure why except they said it's major surgery. This is a military hospital. Excited, nervous here in GA.

Oh dang, he needs a readjustment, I will leave that up to you. Yea the Drs office doesn't realize all the that has to be made. My husband took military leave for 2 weeks so we understand. Thankfully he had lots of time saved. We are here for you always...

I understand that. But we are now on the same day. SINCE i was bumped once I am keeping my fingers cross it doesn't happen again. 14th needs to hurry up so we can heal up.

And it totally depends on how long you stay in the hospital too. Alot stay 1 day. I will stay 2 to 4 days but thats my surgeon and a military hospital. Hygiene products, undies and slippers to walk those halls. Pj bottoms are a must to walk around without your bum bum showing. Hair ties for the ladies or for a man bun.

Wow, what a week. Dont fall for the come back to work early plea. They need to care about you also. I wish you all the best and this will go fine. Let us know how your doing after. Make sure your given pain meds that work for you. Walk as much as possible once your out of recovery to combat the gas. Best wishes

There is other pain meds and meds for nausea to prevent that. Ask for nausea meds before you have pain meds.

Abdominal binder for the spasms. This is what I have heard from others. My hospital will give me one, I will wake up with one on after surgery.

The NP that did the pre-testing at my hospital told me I can drink up to 2 hours before the surgery time. I have the paper at home I will look. And tey to stay up late, very late this weekend so you can sleep in very late to kill that time. I would be the same about the time and waiting. My surgery is the 14th. I will find out my time on the afternoon of the 13th. I hope you have a fast recovery. Best wishes

Ahhh dont worry about that. As long as you stick to the plan they gave you , you will rock this.

Good luck, you will do great. Ask for meds if your in pain after and ones that work for you.

Welcome, I am on the 14th ,VSG and no pre op diet. You have plenty of ppl on the same journey here.

I dont have any liquid diet to do. Surgeon uses a liver retractor device and likes his patients to have good nutrition b4 surgery. Idk but the surgeons are all VERY different .

Wow, I would go to the store tonight and get milk of magnesia before your impacted and have a ER visit. Many have taken this post op and had success. 10 days is way too long

I am also on August 14th for the sleeve in Georgia. I dont have to do a pre op diet. Not complaining , lol. I can still wish you along
