Had surgery yesterday when I woke up from surgery I was super nauseous, my throat was so dry they gave me anti nauseous medicine still didn’t work they put something behind my ear gave me more medicine then I smelled some alcohol from hospital. Finally felt better for pain in taking Tylenol I request lowest form of pain meds I’m not hurting at all. My stomach doesn’t hurt where the operation was done only the top but it’s gas I could actually feel it bubbling I’ve burpped a few times feel much better. Today I’m supposed to drink haven’t been allowed to drink anything yet since surgery it was yesterday morning right now it’s 7 am in New York. I did brush my teeth last night and this morning made my mouth better since it was dry.

I’ve been looking at substitutes for bread...
so far cheese taco shells (looks awesome super healthy)
cabbage in place of shells for stuffed shells
cabbage for lasagna noodles
canbage to make gyro
zuccinni for spaghetti I hate it if anyone can tell me a better spaghetti option
Also I’m looking into almond flour anyone ever use it. My plan it to not get a taste for carbs like not even taste it or sugar ever again cause I love carbs I love food (dinner) not sweets so I plan to eat a dinner all day slowly but a healthy one.
also I feel like I have to start walking around with a kit in my purse and car for that there won’t be any excuses when I’m socializing. liquid stevia, hot sauce, tea, please chime in and tell me what else.
Got my Fitbit and I’m ready to go I’m down to 270 today from the liquid diet I’m super happy I’m not hungry and wait for it...I LOVE the muscle milk now lol so weird. I wish they would have put me on this diet a month and I think it’s really important before surgery because all the crashing I did from sugar and caffeine and headaches it would have made my post operation time so much worse.
sorry for rambling I’m excited for Tuesday!!! Surgery day!!! Grateful for the opportunity and life. I think we have to change ourselves internally and start taking care of ourselves because most of us here are caregivers to spouse, kids and forget about ourselves. ❤️
Ok I could go on forever have a blessed weekend y’all

So how is everyone whose married spouse taken this change? And do you think the relationship will change after you lose weight a lot of people get divorced after this or addicted to alcohol. I guess cause we are considered addicts to food. I would say I do become someone obsessed with things when I was younger I worked out 8 hours a day 5 times a week and other personal things I had to do 3-4 times a day I never done drugs or never been an alcoholic. Does anyone feel this way or know anything about this addiction thing .

49 minutes ago, MACPOWER said:Yes Ive been looking at both as well I saw something like the caveman Keto diet so that sounds about it good. Everything im looking into is juicy meaning in sauce my doc said Im not allowed to eat like oven chicken, turkey, no grilled dry steak, no fried chicken etc. So basically everything has to be moist because he said its better for the first year to take care of my new stomach and to lose the maximum amount of weight. He also said dried meat (like oven and fried) can give me a stomach ache and ill literally feel it digesting in my stomach. Sounds cray cray but whatever Im in this for life and I wont be suffering because thank goodness I know how to cook. The only problem I have is that Im dominican and in my culture I typically make rice, Beans, and meat at least 4-5 times a week Pasta dish for the weekends so I dont think I can convince my entire family to be on the diet so Ill just make two meals but Im thinking since its just me and I wont eat alot and also im fine with eating the same thing all the time Ill just prep 2 lasagna pans 1 for lunch 1 for dinner it should last me 6 days then we eat out once a week. Hope you all ok with me talking about food :X

So after the surgery when we can finally eat solids, when we start eating normal I'm going on the Keto diet sticking to that no carbs (or should I say little to no carbs) I'm on pinterest looking up receipes like a woman planning her wedding I feel somewhat insane but I'm looking forward to it lol (Am I the only one?) Just wondering...

Although on the weekends when I'm feeling rebellious, I'll stay awake until 11 or maybe 12. #LivinOnTheEdge
Lol just like my husband drives me nuts hes out by 8 and weekends 10-11 and hes like struggling to stay up so funny

I made it myself taste really good thank goodness. My doc said not to buy it made because it discusting lol (Took me 6 hours to make boiling the bones with a splash of vingar.) Then I seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, oregano I added celery, carrots and onions thats my base to all Soups. then i just separated it into mason jars (strained) and drink that much for dinner. I made 6 Mason jars and ate that night so good enough for the week.

But for some reason I find it hard to join in on the conversations. I feel like I’m butting in on other peoples conversations. Like who’s this newbie trying to talk to us? Does anyone else feel that way? Or is it just me? Because Im definitely not that way in person. I’m always talking to everyone around me no matter who it is. But for some reason I feel differently on this.
Im from NYC my surgery is the 10th so we are close in date. Fell free to contact me anytime Im married with four children FYI lol. I get what you mean but you can just post your question like you just did and then you might not feel like ur butting in. Can you give me advice on not having saggy skin its totally scaring me my arms especially.
Good luck on your surgery!!!

6 hours ago, Kay07 said:Not sure if I would necessarily agree with this? A large majority of my weight came one because of medical reasons (sever HG in pregnancy resulting in a post pregnancy rapid gain). I am not an emotional eater, nor do I have certain foods that I binge on. My issue is I don't have a metabolism, stemming from the HG. You have to vigoriously PRY the weight from my body because it does not want to lose! And even then, I lose weight incredibly slowly. The other issue, which I will admit is totally on me is that I tend to not make eating multiple meals a priority. I could go the entire day with nothing but an obscene amount of coffee and a banana, then going home and eat a larger dinner. So not sure I'd call that an eating disorder? I have since changed my ways and feel GREAT... annnd have lost next to nothing LOL.
This is my exact issue so I hate when people tell me i must eat alot. I have no appetite drink coffee all day maybe a banana then I have dinner with hubby and kids are in bed. Then I go to bed super late 2am wake up 7am.

My surgery is April 10th I’m from NYC.
Im on day 3 of liquid diet the headache is getting better because Of the lack of caffeine. I lost 6 pounds so far on the liquid diet. I made a Bone Broth that is keeping me alive lol I like hot food not these disgusting Protein Shakes, Jello, and popsicles. Just feeling a bit lightheaded but I’m just gonna stay home and relax.

I just tell everyone Im more of a tell them before they gossip about me type. So I just tell them and let them deal with whatever issues they have on their own time. Your mentality is very important at this time and your doing something great and life changing today is day 1 of my liquid diet my operation is in two weeks!!!! If you need support you got this ite though to air out your feelings which is nice

I am more sexual than my husband. Hes like a one time a week guy im like a 2 times a day at least girl. So i feel safe with my heavy self like maybe 3 guys check me out daily I feel it will be way worse when Im thinner. Mentally Im agood in our marriage and physically I can understand my husband is older. I was raised in a family where this is totally acceptable and I dont want to be like that I dont want to be a lier. But it feels almost natural and I fight against it. Its hard to explain.

The Doctors assistant called me yesterday to see if im ok I told her Im sipping all day and walking she wants me to get more Protein in She was very suprised I was doing so well and hadnt thrown up . So today I woke up at 8am drank 2 protein sip by sip and finished at 12pm now ive been sipping on Water I drank 1 1/3 water bottle since 12 its 2:25 now so honestly its a focused job to get the liquids in. Also i did a egg mask for my hair for my hair could have its protein and hopefully not fall off. I do feel tired and am sleeping more (I just had surgery!!) But i have just a little pain on my lower right stomach. And if anything touches my stomach in certain places it hurts, but not where the stitches are very weird. Anyone have any questions let me know. Oh and the colder the drink the easier it is to get down. so im adding crushed iced and chewing it. (I have not had space for anything else like Jello , or broth ) I sip all day today i hope to get in the 3 Protein Shakes and 64 oz water.
