Thank you yes this has really helped I really think the sleeve is better because of the fact they don’t touch your intestines. Also because it’s less surgery time too, I just want to be healthy and live the life I always wanted but the weight has stopped me from . Thank you for responding to me .

Nicotine is out of your system. Since your just a social smoker, its probalby gone in 3 or 4 days. A regular smoker up to 3 weeks.

I think I would tell her, it would be much worse if they tested you for nicotine and have it show up after you didn't tell them. Better safe than sorry in this case for sure. You are having major surgery and you want all the breaks you can get. As for what to take to the hospital....Gas X, chap stick, loose clothes. I would make sure that your clothes had snaps or buttons so you don't need to put your arms over your head to get dressed. Bring something comfortable for the ride home. I think you should tell her, but I also think you’ll be fine! 6 weeks quit is plenty of time, my doctor only required 4 weeks (and I struggled the first week so it was more like 3). He was ok with it and my surgery went off without a hitch!

Just remember that by day three you will be sleeping better. I’m one week post op today and feeling great. First two days/nights sucked but you will wake up 3rd or 4th day and realize you feel a lot less sore and it feels awesome! Went well Extra Strength Tylenol and didn’t take Oxy. Good luck.
